Canon G12, choosing housing and lenses

The WA lens is a wet lens, so yes it can be removed underwater. The dome is assemnbled onto the UWL-H100 M67 so it comes off with it. I havn't had a chance to try Macro out with the short port so can't comment.

Canon G12, choosing housing and lenses

I have a G12 in a Patima housing. I only recently bought the Inon UWL-H100 M67 Type 2 + Inon dome unit II but so far very happy with it. My decision was based on the depth rating of the housing (Patima 120m over the Ike @60). On the negative side it is a very heavy housing, but the plus is...

    Miflex HP and Bursting?

Same thing happened to me, hose ruptured in the middle of its length for no apparent reason (no prior sign of wear). Never had an issue with any of the LP Miflex's. Wish I had done a bit of googling before wasting money on the HP hose.

    Hello from Seadoo Seascooter!

I've seen them both, I have an Explorer and the guys I dive with have the newer 'X' models. The older Explorer is rubbish, most units leak by poor design with an inadequate shaft seal. The 'X' model is reported to have rectified this (better shaft seals - but I can't confirm this as I havnt...

What to do with 2yr old explorers...

Bloody cold. A good time for tinkering in the shed with the DPV. I really dont know why they only printed on one of the Batts, but they are certainly 2 12Ah's. Looking at Seadoo's website they look like the same battery that the VS supercharged uses (only 1 of in that model though). Best of...

What to do with 2yr old explorers...

Kevin, I've been restoring a damaged Seadoo explorer myself and have found the batteries are one of the easiest things to change over. Asuming you are out of warranty already, just take the power unit apart (6 screws and a bolt through the handle) and you'll find 2 12v 12Ah SLA batteries...

    Hello from Seadoo Seascooter!

My first post on these forums so forgive me if I'm breaking protocol in posting this in this thread. I've recently aquired a Sea-Doo Explorer (Original ZS7A) from a buddy (no longer working). It appears the shaft seal has failed leading to a gearbox and motor compartment flood. The electrics...
