Care of latex seals - KY jelly ?

I am sure anal lube will also work, but I prefer talc for latex care. Gels and jellies attract dirt and dust

    Dry suit size query

It would seem that there is lot of tension in the legs when you squad indicating short and restrictive suit legs. This will put tension on the seams and eventually fail resulting in leaks. Is there enough slack on the suspenders, most new divers leave these to tight resulting in restrictive...

Best guess drysuit sizing based on measurements

Good luck, I cant help but confirm that without fitting the suit with the intended thermals you will mostly likely get sizing wrong at least twice.

sitech oval vs round quick cuff / quickneck vs neoprene neck seal

I prefer the Oval cuffs as I don't have large hands, get the new neck seal system (Quick Neck).

    Apeks KVR1 sizing query

L/XL is going to be to small IMO. I dive a Bullet in L/XL and I am 165, 5'8. The arms is maybe an inch to long for me and the socks 2 sizes to large, if I had to nitpick at something. You might fit in a L/XL but with little room for thermals. The best advise is always to fit the suit with full...

Investigating the idea of a drysuit ... where to begin

Your first drysuit will most likely not be your last. The idea tobuy 2nd hand and upgrading once you know better what you want is a good one. Try to buy from a shop, or person that will allow you to dive the suit to determine if there is any leak or problems. Your bodyshape/weight and thermal...

I have Apeks valves on my Fusion and a Si tech pee-valve. They all work great. Why no use DUI valves?

Halcyon cinch and removal in emergency

I dive with the cinch, it works very similair to any other the harness/plate setup. removing or adjusting the cinch in and out of the water is really easy. Release the buckle, ensure the waste band is about 45 degrees up towards you torso and push midway on the shoulder strap to release. Out of...

    Aqualung fusion vs Bare trilam

Origanally Whites designed and produced the Fusions suits before Apeks acquired them. Whites is a Canadian company and understand cold water diving, cant go wrong IMO.

Would you dive with these tanks?

Quick cave fill and they are ready to go.

    Aqualung fusion vs Bare trilam

I can only comment on the Fusion. Great suit and is the best bang for your buck, all things considered. Six years down the line of cave diving, no leaks, no issues and in mint condition.

    Dry suit advice needed x2

I have seen and fitted the newer Aircore and really like them alot. They "breath" nicely and is a joy to don/dof compared to my drycore. I just cant justify a new core when mine is perfect and dry!
