It would seem that there is lot of tension in the legs when you squad indicating short and restrictive suit legs. This will put tension on the seams and eventually fail resulting in leaks.
Is there enough slack on the suspenders, most new divers leave these to tight resulting in restrictive...
L/XL is going to be to small IMO. I dive a Bullet in L/XL and I am 165, 5'8. The arms is maybe an inch to long for me and the socks 2 sizes to large, if I had to nitpick at something. You might fit in a L/XL but with little room for thermals. The best advise is always to fit the suit with full...

Origanally Whites designed and produced the Fusions suits before Apeks acquired them. Whites is a Canadian company and understand cold water diving, cant go wrong IMO.
I can only comment on the Fusion. Great suit and is the best bang for your buck, all things considered. Six years down the line of cave diving, no leaks, no issues and in mint condition.
I have seen and fitted the newer Aircore and really like them alot. They "breath" nicely and is a joy to don/dof compared to my drycore. I just cant justify a new core when mine is perfect and dry!
