    Hollis Ride power inflator replacement

I too think it should be a standard 1 inch power inflator, but I bought it used and I am wondering if the previous owner decided to install a 0.75 inch oceanic inflator. I am not sure if he replaced the corrugated hose too, so I have ordered a 1 inch version to see if i can fit it in - let's see

Question Do you prefer someone help you set up your gear, or do you prefer setting up by yourself?

I do it for myself and my wife (at least 50% of the times), both the setup and tear down. We always take a few breaths before getting into the water and do a quick buddy check of the cylinder valve before descent. At times, if the crew wants to set it up, I let them do it, but cross check...

    Hollis Ride power inflator replacement

Got it - been looking online for such an adaptor, but I can't find one (I am likely not using the right search term)

    Hollis Ride power inflator replacement

Your are right - I was in a hurry and tried to take a quick measurement. It should be 19mm. Interesting that the 19mm or 3/4 inch hose is much more expensive. Are there any disadvantages of using a 3/4 to 1 inch adapter?

    Hollis Ride power inflator replacement

My power inflator is toast and I need to replace it. From everything I have read, these power inflators can easily be swapped out with various other brands as long as the hose diameter is the same. Mine is a 2 cm (0.78 inch) hose diameter and was actually using an Oceanic inflator all these...

Bungee mount for Oceanic VT 4

This is super interesting - thanks for sharing the files. I happen to have a 3D printer at home, so this is something that I would love to tinker with (just need to figure out the right printing material, not sure if PLA will work) I have DM'd you my details. Thank you so much for this!

Bungee mount for Oceanic VT 4

Folks - looks like DSS (deep sea scuba) is out of business, and I have looked around online quite a bit, but I am unable to find a bungee mount for oceanic vt 4 anywhere. I just bought a barely used vt 4 on ebay, but it comes with just the regular strap. I would prefer a bungee mount - would...

Great news for Aeris Atmos AI owners

Got it - those are the original ones. I haven't been able to find them any longer. There are a couple of retailers selling Aqualung i550 battery hatches and they are all black and they claim that these solve the brittleness issue in the originals. I will get a couple and try them out - will...

Can I use my 11 year old wetsuit?

Thank you all for chiming in - this is reassuring. I will try out the wetsuit for a few dives and see how it goes. @CT-Rich you are absolutely correct. I used to dive with aeris and hollis regulators, which are no longer serviceable. Lesson learnt, so I ended up buying a Scubapro MK25 Evo, G260...

Great news for Aeris Atmos AI owners

That's fantastic to hear, thank you so much for posting an update. The replacement ones are the ones in black color, right? The original ones were translucent white ones if I am not mistaken.

Great news for Aeris Atmos AI owners

Sorry for reviving a very old thread, but was curious to hear if anyone else has tried this? There seems to be a tiny crack in my atmos ai battery cover, so I am looking for an alternative. Also, does the Sherwood Wisdom share the same battery cover? It looks very similar.

Can I use my 11 year old wetsuit?

Yep, zipper works great, no crumbling anywhere and it pretty much looks new (except for a couple of tiny rough patches near my shoulder, which was there earlier too). I am planning to take it to the pool this weekend, so I will get a better idea.

Can I use my 11 year old wetsuit?

I have a Henderson 3mm wetsuit (Class D rated) that I purchased in 2013 and used actively for a few years. Life happened (as in, kid were born :) ) and we stopped diving for many years (7+ years), but the wetsuit was usually hung in a wardrobe (away from light, etc) for the longest time, except...

Looking for advice - staying in Jalan Seririt and Nusa Dua

Unfortunately, we are committed to stay in the south this time around (we are traveling with another couple). However, we will likely come back in the next year or two to make up for the goof up this year. Would you be able to recommend any good Marriott properties in Tulamben and Candidasa?

Looking for advice - staying in Jalan Seririt and Nusa Dua

After a bunch of reading up, it appears that Menjangan is likely the best place to dive along with PJ during our first leg of the trip (Lovina beach area) and there is pretty much no diving in Nusa Dua (closest is about 60 kms away in Pandangbai). Is this an accurate assessment? Is there...
