    NMF Charter/Headboat permit

Great, then you can provide some facts to clear up the rumors. Which boat was it that the USCG stopped, the captain, and searched for drugs. Did they really let the air out of the tanks and look inside the tanks? Who was the person that did the Anonymous Tip? Why did they do it? Been over twenty...

    NMF Charter/Headboat permit

The problem is you never know who would. Back in the early 2000's the Miss Lindsey would move down to Hatteras a couple times a year. One year they were ticketed for the lack of the grouper permit. They did not even know they had to have it as there is no grouper or snapper to spear in Va. It...

    NMF Charter/Headboat permit

Holding a blanket NC fishing Lic. for your charter group does not cover federal waters and the NOAA permits required for charter boats who engage in fishing by R&R or by spearfishing. There are three permits required that each charter boat should have to cover what your party may spear, these...

    Am I bent?

It will not matter if you called Dan, they like all other professional medical people they will tell you to go see a professional and get checked out. That will mean an automatic chamber ride. It has been my experience if you have to ask then you are not. I have seen many divers have some pain...

For those who still think they run a dive taxi

Wil that is your 35 yrs of Navy drilled into your head coming out. It is also why there are so many deaths IMO in the Navy during training as those at the bottom don't give a flying crap because they know the guy at the top will take the biggest fall, it's the Military way of dealing with it...

    Diver Death Virginia Beach

When these things happen there is no winner. Most of us who knew Kevin were already clued in to his diving problems. The Captain in this case did not know about him. I think this verdict is a railroad job by the USCG because I do know everything and everyone involved. I was one of the Captains...

    Wilmington Incident - 16 Oct

The discussion is about the video at this point not what happen to Amy. I should explain about the down falls of the deco gas on the back, many have put the wrong reg in the mouth with a gear configuration that way including Gary Gentile. But that would be for another thread.

Fatality off Bald Head Island - NC

Oxtox is much like decompression programs, it is all in theory. Some divers get bent for no reason or very minor time extensions. There are no set rules but just guidelines. Notice it says "to which the body is normally exposed". While we have guidelines that work for the majority and are...

Fatality off Bald Head Island - NC

Every diver I have seen come up from underwater who has been unconscious aspirates the foam wether they were down for one minute or a 100 mintues.....that is not DCS. I shouldn't even have to say what the blood is, I have only seen the skin bends on the living.

oxtox provably no........ Heart attack yes it can.......a full oxtox seizure will not allow a breath....... seen it already. Once you are in full seizure until it is over you will have no muscle control. Yes thousands survive everyday but not underwater. You've never seen one or you wouldn't...

Fatality off Bald Head Island - NC

I'm not pursuing it, it just jumps out at me. Having seen a couple it fits. While everyone flies the 1.4 and under flag no will say the mix which causes another flag to raise. Oxygen Toxicity is caused by exposure to oxygen at partial pressures greater than those to which the body is normally...

While I don't have all the answers and no one will. One in full seizure could not breathe. If there is a difference between you two, one was breathing the other was not.

Fatality off Bald Head Island - NC

Right now? If he was he would be alive and thus no need for this thread. The oxtox is what appears to have happened, the air embolism occurred most likely during the ascent. That is the cause of death not the cause of the accident. Two different things entirely.

    Wilmington Incident - 16 Oct

Yes I understand that is very common when diving the ledges. One would think after all these years the boats would add info during the briefing that divers should NOT tie their lines to the anchor line but next to it or at the very least at the bottom not up off the bottom. Thus removing that...

Fatality off Bald Head Island - NC

I have read the report by aheavyD and while it does give lots of answers it leaves me with more questions. The mix being a major one since it appears to be an oxtox to me. The shaking could be a sign of uncontrollable muscle twitches and the "staring" is also commonly seen during treatment for...
