...and do it in a chamber, not the water.
The big issue is that recreational scuba is it a niche market and its highly unlikely that funds will be spent on that research.
Any real underwater research is being done by the US Navy's NEDU, and they already did most of their research making diving...
They don't call it geezer gas for nothing.
One issue I saw in the studies, is that fatigue used by most people is more nebulous than how scientists use it.
The first study was in a chamber, not the water.
Another study (with divers in the water), as an aside since it wasn't part of the...
@Still Kicking
Now I remember the Spectre, watch that first step. :wink: My daughter and I made the Anacapa trip with a couple of OW classes so it was an easy dive. I'll look around for the UW pics, I think there is some nudibranch porn in with the kelp forest pictures, but it will be after...
I haven't been down there for a while. Managed to dive San Miguel off of her a couple a few times, once off the northwest side when it was like glass, what a dive.
"For the Makah Tribe, whale hunting provides a purpose and a discipline which benefits their entire community. It is so important to the Makah, that in 1855 when the Makah ceded thousands of acres of land to the government of the United States, they explicitly reserved their right to whale...
If they were chatty, I would probably bring it up in the conversation. Otherwise, I would assume they just bought the tank with it already on, or were not certified and used it as a dodge to get fills without a card, neither of which is my business.
Although you are correct, a drivers licence gives one the legal ability to drive on public roads, while a c-card is not a licence, and is not legally necessary to scuba dive.
By giving each customer a personal test, you do not remove the liability for their ability from you. With a c-card, the liability for their training and ability rests on another.
I graduated from "Dad's School of Auto Mechanics and SCUBA School" back in '62. After passing an extensive test on the contents of "The New Science of Skin and SCUBA Diving" I did several dives under instruction, of which the instructor accompanied me for practice buddy breathing, since there...
As long as it was attached to the first. :wink:
Unfortunately, the yoke is made for older valves, and won't fit on convertible valves and on most modern valves, as they are wider and thicker than the older ones. The good news is the reg works fine down to 40 meters the last time I had it out.
A particular yoke attachment on a reg will have a limitation on the pressure it can handle dependent on its design. The yoke itself can be to handle pressures well over 3500#, however one can no longer get a tank over 3500# with a yoke valve, and at a certain point the size of the yoke would...
That's interesting, it passes a DOT hydro with its mandatory visual inspection, but then fails a scuba industry VIP. Does this sound weird to anyone besides me?
