That is a great way of looking at it!

Where to drop bottles in N. FL Caves?

I'm of the same thinking...take the deco bottles in past the sign and clip them into the gold line.

Worthington or Faber, what is the better choice?

I use Worthington LP 108's with an 11lb V-Weight and a 6lb SS Backplate in a DS for cave diving BM. I use Faber LP 95's for SM in a DS and Hollis SMS 100. Worthington or PST are the better tanks for BM IMHO.

Where to drop bottles in N. FL Caves?

Hi All, I've heard some stories recently about some people dropping their O2 bottles near the sign or at 20ft in the caves (i.e. the ledge in the eye or by the sign in the ear) and when they come out their bottles are gone, and that can be a real problem. I realize this might not be an issue at...

    First Rebreather

Thanks for the advice on that Titan MAB, It's what comes with it when you get it from Jim at Cave Country Dive Shop. I'll definately make a note about that and keep an eye on it, but all I really do is caves and quarrys anymore. I think it's been almost 3 years since I've been in saltwater...

    First Rebreather

Diving a rebreather sounds alot like flying a light aircraft: If you get complacent and quit paying attention for just a second, or you're out of practice and you start trying to be the Great Santini, it can just kill you outright.

    First Rebreather

I've seen them, and a friend of mine dives the Inspiration. How does it travel on aircraft? How does it stack up weight-wise compared to the rEvo or Meg?

    First Rebreather

After talking with Jim Wyatt and a few other people, I've pretty much decided on the rEvo III standard with dual radial scrubbers, Titan Manual Addition Block, 5-cell: rEvodream (Primary), Shearwater Predator w/ Fischer Cable (Secondary), Cooper Hose Upgrade, Heavy 3L Tanks w/ valves, and HUD...

    First Rebreather

So you've basically gotta have all the gas you would need to do the planned dive's deco requirements on OC, and exit bailout as well?
  16. TecDiver1990

    First Rebreather

So basically, you take the capacity of your bailout tanks at their given pressure, and calculate that as 2/3 or your total gas needs. How do you calculate the 1/3rd for penetration on the rebreather? Or is there just a completely different set of planning rules for CCR Cave?

    First Rebreather

How would you go about having enough bailout for a dive like that? I have 2 LP130's that I've set up for SM, even though I never use them. What else might I need to have?
