I know there are no stupid questions but.....

...also, to log a dive it should be deeper than 5m and longer than 20 minutes, so pool dives generally don't count although I agree its a good idea to track the bottom time anyway

I know there are no stupid questions but.....

Which school/agency did you take your course with? ITs a PADI standard that you MUST log your course dives. Your logbook is important for further training (for DM and Instructor for example you have to prove you have made so many dives) and when diving at resorts to see the kind of diving/how...

    Recommendations on Greece diving!

Dive laws in Greece heavily relaxed in 2005, update yourself. Santorini is an awesome dive destination for the Med (lots of volcanic caves and deep walls), Crete also has some nice dives including a ww2 fighter plane off of Hersonissos in 23m water. Navys Waterworld Scuba Diving Center |...

    Mediterranean Cruise Diving

The volcano is not the best dive in Santorini; bare rocks and not much life, but there is some absolutely amazing caves/caverns/canyons etc on the south coast in a 3,000 year old lava floe. Also some excellent wall dives inside the caldera. Water temp will be low in April, about 16 degrees, but...

    Divemaster course

The place and the people were not for me. He seemed like i'd manage to get along with him when I met him, then I had to listen to him all day long telling me in detail about banging *****s, and his attitude towards the business is more or less get as much as you can out of people for as little...

    Diving in Greece?

It depends what you're into I guess. I've worked all over the world for many years and Greece si the only place i've come back to. No, there's not many fish, the water is so clear here (30m vis most days) becuase there's not many nutrients in it and we fight a constant battle with the fishermen...

    Divemaster course

I know Dive S.E.A., spent two days working there last year. NOT recommended! One week DM courses sound typical of him, he does Open Water courses in 2 days and doesn't even have a classroom, what you saw at the golf course is all there is except the boat.

    Diving in Greece?

Sadly we don't have any sharks in Santorini. There are 5 dive centers. The diving in the caldera is actually quite good with lots of wall dives but the volcano itself is not the best diving due to the bare volcanic rock and sulphur from the hot springs. The hot springs are the only spots where...

    SSI and PADI

Its called educational validity, building from simple to complex and following a proven system. I am a PADI Instructor and often add more practice and techniques (the standards manual says that students must be able to demonstrate the skill in a comfortable, fluid repeatable manner to prove...

    Diving in Greece?

Hi Folks, I'm the manager/master instructor at Navys Waterworld. Yes, two of the centers have now closed for the season but we operate through to 19th October. Water is around 22 degrees at the moment, quite chilly in a 3mm so bring at least a 5mm if you have your own, or we have 8/6/5mm...
