    3 Emergency/Marker Strobes Compared

Update at 102 hours: The TekTite 200 LED is still flashing away, a little less than 1/sec. I'm impressed...

    3 Emergency/Marker Strobes Compared

It was hard to tell objectively. The Xe tubes are physically bigger, so the flash appears spread over a larger area (volume really, but you know what I mean) whilst he LED is closer to a point source. While videoing with my Samsung cell phone, the LED flashes bleached the screen, whilst neither...

    Jotron AQ4 parts needed

The Pathfinder is Xenon, right? And looks like only 20 hours burntime. Based on my little experiment, I'd get the TekTite LED (or even the AQ4 Mk2....)

    Jotron AQ4 parts needed

It looks like the new AQ4 Mk2 cap might be the same as yours. Seeing as you're in Norway, have you tried Jotron HQ? PS having just tested an AQ4 vs a Tektite200 and Tektite 200 LED, I wouldn't recommend the old Xenon tube technology devices for 'mission critical' applications where flashing...

    Jotron AQ4 parts needed

Thx Dude. I actually called Jotron USA. They were very surprised the lens piece came out - they thought it impossible! Obviously offered to sell me new version, which I declined. The rep called back later to say they found some old AQ4s at one of their distributors - Awesome, thx Dude. If you...

I snapped off the clear lens piece on a boat yesterday. Only then realized it is clipped into place - with an O ring. Otherwise it works - you can have it for parts. Alternatively, I could cannibalize yours to fix mine!

should i dive with my ABLJ folded?

The Buddy Arctic was designed for use with membrane dry-suits, meant was to be folded till needed - bouyancy control being achieved by the dry-suit. This - and other 'horse collar' - designs were considered as true life jackets by their users - they would keep you face-up if unconscious on the...
