Yep, that is why I never buy Scubapro anything. The price gouging on a battery replacement did that for me. Mares is also in same boat on battery replacements. Suunto seems best to me.

Since it was billed as top dive in Zanzibar (and the priciest) I went to Mnemba atoll in February of 2019. It was okay, but it is not an out-of-this-world dive site. It was not enough to encourage me to do more dives.

Thanks. Went diving here 12 August. The topography is interesting. Saw a couple of octopi (one was perched on a rock), many types of rockfish, gobies, urchins, lots of sea cukes, lingcod, kelp and painted greenlings.

Yep, the stairs and surface swim are daunting. I now usually return along the bottom though. Easier access than Rocky Point in Nanaimo (best dive spot in Nanaimo imho)

Seems you saw just a small part of Stains Pt. Would this be possibly a good spot for a drift dive ... and a live boat of course?

Your reports are excellent Mark. Thanks so much. Tanner Rock on certain days can be an excellent dive spot with lots of life, but it can be so-so on other days. But yes, the other side of the inlet tends to be more interesting. Are the side-scan sonar images produced by your?
