Simple answer? Yes.
More dives? Yes.
More practice of the skills every dive? Yes.
More education? Yes.
Do as many dives as you can as fast as you can and practice all the skills you learned until you know them stone cold.
Take some more classes to expand your circle of awareness and raise your...
My biggest mistake while freediving is trying to take a breath from my reg, only to realize it's my snorkel!
I won't do both on the same day, get my mind clear as to what I am doing.
All of the above posts are pretty well right on. Can't go wrong with a bit of self help.
In regards to the I3 setup, I see it as counter-intiuitive. You lift the lever to inflate the BC and press it down to deflate. This, to me, is the opposite of the way it should be.
If it was the other way...
I am NOT impressed with the fact that I will have to pay some ridiculous price for a bit of colored plastic that fits over my lens. So, being the creative (read that as cheap) person that I am, I decided to go a different route.

What they all said. Plus a few more points. First, you cannot use defog of any kind as your initial scrubbing method. Doesn't work.
Second, before every dive, you still need to defog the mask, with either commercial defog or saliva.
If you do the toothpaste thing, scrub the inside for about 15...
I am curious. Do you use the RDP to plan your dives and check afterwards to see if you're still within rec limits?
I am doing this as a poll for recreational (non-professional) RDP users, not for computers users.
In other words, you've been trained to use the tables and have not purchased a...
I have some students who are eligible for the Scuba Diver cert, having completed 5 class sessions and all 5 pool sessions, but only Open Water dives 1 & 2.
The problem I have now is that they have left the country, gone back to mainland USA, but they havn't signed the PIC form yet.
It's been...
So true. I can still remember the name of a guy I met over 30 years ago, Lance. He told me think of a Nun in a phonebooth with a ... thru her head. Will never forget that name.
I have some that slip by me without a signature, but pretty well all of my dives are logged in my logbook and have signatures. Not long ago I revised it so I have room for eight students signatures and a Divemaster signature too. Now that the clear water is back, I might have to change that...
I had the pleasure to instruct this nice young lady for her Open Water certification this week.
When we got in the pool on Tuesday, she did okay with her mask clearing skills during dive one.
When we got into the deep end for dive two and I asked her to clear her mask, and then again, and again...
SPG's can read very much incorrectly. Had a student show me his gauge before his last pool session, it showed his tank only having 2200 psi. I wasn't too concerned as it was a short dive and I knew he watched his gauge like a hawk anyways. Halfway thru the dive, when I asked him how much air he...
