Scubapro dust caps are just dust caps, if you want to soak it unpressurized get a screw on cap that properly engages the DIN o ring.

Easy fix as suggested, smooth the edges, you’ll likely not live long enough for the straps to fail even as is but it shouldn’t be happening.

Regular novas are a bit floppy, I’ve been diving the super nova a lot, so far no inclination of looseness in the joint. I pretty confident in their effectiveness and longevity.

At this price, serviced and buy the second service kit, it’s a steal! Years of use in its future for 1/2 of what a lessor first stage costs.
