I am wondering for those who are familiar with or have dove in Vieques if they could provide any input on good shore diving? My wife and I like to go at our own pace, and save $$$ my doing shore dives and we get to check out some areas not frequently visited as well. I've heard mixed reviews...

JKPAO - I'm trying to picture this, can you explain further, or by chance have a pic?

The ones I was looking at were 1/2" wide. The stock ones on my mouth piece don't look that wide.... and these days zip ties and everything else comes in every shape and size (regulators too!). So I didn't want to buy the wrong ones and look silly on the dive boat :dork2:

I didn't want to post this here, b/c I feel silly! But I googled, and looked at mouthpieces that came with zip ties but none of them state the size of the zip tie. Most importantly the width. I just ordered comfobite mouth pieces and they do not have the zips with them. What size are these...

I was trying to google to find pics or info on how/if people attach their net and/or tickle stick to the back of their tank or BCD somehow. I would like to take my lobster gear on some leisure dives and would prefer not to carry it by hand. Anyone care to share?

We were planning on getting a car, main issue holiding me up booking at this point is the safety as mentioned. Right now trying to decide between St. Croix & Puerto Rico

Because there is no frame? Probably seems silly but, I would think the mask would be less rigid and you couldnt put your hand against the top and push out easily?

@diversteve - is the crystal silicone "high end" or low end ? I would assume high end since you said it was expensive. Are there types of Silicone to "stay away" from?
