Waterproof D1 Hybrid XXL Drysuit for sale <100 dives for $1250 plus shipping

El nino has brought warm waters to So Cal and I just don't dive this suit enough to keep it. Suit has a Halycon p-vale installed by Hollywood Divers and is in overall excellent condition. This is a very rugged suit with oversized pockets, easy to replace silicon seals and is VERY warm. I can...

I am guessing guy thinks is still "All good" by the end of the video....

    Why did you go pro?

What Thal said...but the tax write off on gear helped offset the expenses...had/have planned on using post retirement since it wouldn't support my family in So Cal... I'm always down for good training & I do enjoy DMing boats here too...I just like to dive :)

First BP/W looking for advice on setups!

For harnesses I have an Apeks & Halcyon. I like the stiffness of the Apeks but flexibility of the Halycon. Apeks also has very robust d-rings too. For back plates, I use stainless steel. I like the weight characteristics & still use it when I travel & wear a 3mm full suit in tropical...

DUI TLS 350 Turbo sole and rock boots?

I have integrated rock boots on my Waterproof D1 Hybrid and wish I had turbo soles. The gas expansion if diving in trim with legs bent for frog kicking can be difficult to manage. I've since placed Velcro straps around my ankles to prevent gas from entering the foot area & added much thicker...

The right way to get certified

Matt, dude...you need to maybe sit back for a while & read some posts... After doing some diving, studying more material & reading here & elsewhere I bet you'll turn into a great diver. I couldn't agree more with the saying about not knowing what you don't know despite how educated or smart of...

    Bitterness of Scuba Instructors

Well this is a lengthy thread! While I understand what Matt is saying to some extent, I also believe he seems to post threads about things he most likely already has answers to. It seems as if there are posts made just for the sake of making posts or showing how intelligent one may think they...

How do you know you're diving 21% Nitrox?

[/COLOR]CO—it's carbon monoxide you're worried about. Yes, thats what i meant but messed up on typing..thanks for the typo correction.

    Where do the Beginners Dive?

I'm surprised only one other person mentioned Corona Del Mar in Newport. Sure Shaws is another easy location, but the stairs & limited parking is a buzz kill. If you go around the corners in Laguna just count on feeding the meters. CDM is a pay for parking lot, but easy (very easy) entry, no...

    Non - Mustache Divers

Shave the night before, the morning of or just deal with it is what I do. It is on my list of things to do on prepping for my dives though.

How do you know you're diving 21% Nitrox?

No, I do not & have not been analyzing air fills, but now that I pretty much just dive EAN, I can see the value while traveling. I am thinking more about the CO2 analyzer for checking fills while abroad. Too many accidents out there not too.

Which Course to Go (Tech or Pro)

Be advised...you generally won't get rich teaching SCUBA & I concur on the GUE courses as stated by TS&M...great training & dive community. I do think a rescue course is worth taking if you haven't already done so.
