Thanks JC that's all I have been able to dig up also. What's the best way to access that side of the lake? I do t have a boat outside of packing a kayak up... It looks like a cool forgotten site
I have heard about a submerged forest in Jenny Lake, Wyoming within the Grand Teton National Park. Has anyone dove this, or have any information they would be willing to share? I am thinking it would be a fun venture in the near future before the snow flies....
Rock, sorry I am slow again.... From Idaho head toward Garden City. turn left on the north beach road, (cant remember the name of the road) Jetty road I think. then follow that road around the lake. Cisco Beach is on the east side of the lake about a mile or so south of the Utah state line...
I actually enjoy sea base, usually visit there couple times a year either to reach a class or just get wet in the spring before local diving takes off. IMO homestead is too hot unless it's January or February.... nothing too see there, were sea base has their sharks and other fish, granted its...
I know this is an old thread, but what are you using for an exposure suit in end of July? Some friends are going down and not sure what to pack... also have been told that it is aggressive diving? What does this mean? Thanks for any help
Dr Bill just lost credibility with me. SAD as I took your advice as truth for so long I feel misled.... :missing: I sincerely hope your future posts are better
What we do is black out a mask, wrap twine all around them. Pat them on the head to signal go. When they cut themselves free they follow a line around the pool with several obstacles. A 50 gallon barrel to go through, then throw a fish net over them. In the process they will lose a fin and quite...
I love my so tech glove system... but answering he question how bad is a flooded dry suit?last weekend river dive I left a few threads of undergarments in my zipper that proptly
Filled my dive rite suit with 35 degree water, dive was aborted.
Insomnia, I clicked on that link and looked at that system, It looks very similar to the SI tech version. Is there a difference other than name and purchase units are in Euros? I had never heard of them before
Lord help us all....AOW seems to be handed out by the lottery system .... 24 min dives and 4 specialty classes is how I go by. Good luck with solo cave and ice diving as you see fit...... safety has been compromised
C
How do you get AOW with only 20 dives? SSI requires minimum of 24 I believe PADI DOES AS well... dive your experience not your card level. I would challenge your instructor for building false confidence....
Hey, sorry slow. Yellowstone divers in Cody wyo over your direction. There is also a shop in Bozeman.... if you make it to Idaho feel free to look us up t Idaho Dive Pirates, always willing to go play. Good luck!
I agree with TC, We are all volunteer so we see a little of everything, but BP/W set up is as durable and fool proof as it gets. There are a few of us that have gone that direction.
I have never seen the viking system, but have used si tech twist lock system for almost 3 years and they will work flawlessly if you keep sand out and lube the joints regularly. I use atlas gloves with them $3 at any farm store or $15 for the fleece lined ones. Scissors are required to trim the...
Tjack, your closest air fill is to give us a heads up when your coming so we can meet you for a dive and bring our compressor. that's easiest, sometimes if you pack the correct SCBA to SCUBA adapter you can convince a fire dept to top you off for a fee? But Bear Lake is only 2 hours for us...
a lot of good stuff here, so I am not preaching we do it right... and am totally free to hear what could be changed... so here it goes
Our Agency is all volunteer with some compensation for training from our Sheriff office. We, meaning the dive team for Bingham County came up with our own...
I had the privilege of meeting Juan and Ocean last week in Mexico. I am also not a free diver or shark behavior scholar. I can say as a SCUBA and large predator fan, I really liked them. I also really like sharks when I get the chance to see them. I also really liked that video and admire Ocean...

1 Fun Farm Bridge in Chester is a fun current dive with stuff to find.
