How Hard is TDI Nitrox Course

It's pretty easy. You learn the foundation of tables and some other things. All good stuff to know. Once you learn all that, do all the manual planning and such, toss the tables in a drawer and do like most everyone else. Use Vplanner of similar to plan your dives. :)

    snaps - tell me why

I dive cold water exclusively wearing smurf gloves with liners too. As some others mentioned I've brought my skills up to deal with the better equipment.

    Gas Pressure Indication Redundancy

Most rec divers I've encountered aren't equipped to calculate gas consumption and plan a dive based on that so they are out of the water. Also if diving a team environment (yes even on a single) it's comforting to KNOW how much gas is in the tank when one needs to share his air. Without a...

Diver dies on the Dunderberg wreck Harbor Beach, MI Lake Huron

At the start of the dive, sure. At the end of the dive, perhaps not. Can't fault the dive buddy for sending an unresponsive diver to the surface. Yes I know it's an old thread. I was wondering if there has been any update or accident analysis results. Maybe perhaps autopsy results??

    snaps - tell me why

Agree completely. Stainless will cut too, but not so much as the brass ones in my experience. I too don't want to have to lube em or futs with snaps, it's one more thing to forget. For me they just work better than brass. But contrary to others responding, I'm not getting my panties in a...

    Gas Pressure Indication Redundancy

True. However, you lose dives because no one is going diving without knowing how much gas is in the tank on a dive these days.

Same crap never to use underwater, only in stainless.

    Gas Pressure Indication Redundancy

What you describe illustrates why many of the experienced/seasoned divers don't use that AI or remote sensor crap. I lost some dives on a trip because of the quick disconnect on an AI Ares dive computer. Now I use as few connections as possible. No swivels, no quick disconnects no air...
