BCD - lightweight / travel BCD with tank holder

Another reccomendation for the ScubaPro LiteHawk. It is light weight, has a solid tank cam band and support, and is well made. I have been very happy with it.

    dive shops in Belize??

My family and I have used Chuck and Robbies several times. We have always been very happy with them. They have good rental gear, so for just two days of diving that would be convenient.

Litehawk, Zuma Pro, Zeagle ET or Oxycheq?

I have used the Litehawk and been very pleased with it. Packs small and light. Everything you need for warm water diving. Although it actually has a big enough bladder to work with doubles, if you were so inclined.

    Recommendations for Travel BC

You should check out the Scuapro Litehawk, a sturdy back inflate that packs small. I have been very happy with it and the price is right.

Best dive operators in La Parguera

We dove with West Divers for two days around Christmas this year. They seemed to be a reasonably well run shop. The DMs were good at briefings and knowledgeable. The boat was well organized. I would be happy to dive with them again.

    Does this exist?

I have used the ScubaPro Litehawk on a recent dive trip to Puerto Rico. It is relatively compact and light weight, so good for travel. I was able to put 7 pounds in each weight pocket, you might squeeze in 8. Since I wasn't wearing a wet suit, I could dive without a weight belt. It worked...

Trip Report, December 26-30, 2010, La Parguera, Puerto Rico, Paradise Scuba

We were in Rincon 12/20-29 and the strong weather pretty much shut down trips to Desecheo. So, we drove down to Parguera on 12/24 and 12/27 and dove with West Divers. Good dive op and the DMs, Danny and BamBam, were great. We dove Black Wall, Fallen Rock, Pinculata (?sp), and Isabela. While the...

    Barbados

I would suggest that you look into diving with Andrew Western of EcoDivers. Having been diving all over the Caribbean, we have not had a better DM.

Honduras - Report - "The State of Diving Tourism"

My wife, son and I were in Roatan during the week when Zelaya was expelled from the country. I don't think that the term 'coup' is appropriate, because his expulsion was based on the legal actions of the Honduran supreme court and legislature. I agree with the other posts concerning the...

    OOA with a faulty SPG

I had a similar occurrence diving rental equipment at Ambergris, Belize. It was obvious that the gauge had stuck at ~2500 psi, since it hadn't moved over several minutes. Luckily my dive buddy was my wife, who I know uses air at about the same rate I do. So, I could complete the dive assuming my...
