The PADI instructor manual for Divemaster lists specific requirements for the Water Skills and Stamina Exercises. They're written in "blue" which means they are a standard and cannot be modified.

    Suunto Cobra Problem

Most authorized dealers will call Aqualung who issues an RMA. The dealer must fax the customer's sales receipt to Aqualung to show it was purchased from an authorized dealer. It goes to Aqualung who usually replaces it with a refurbished unit (though sometimes they fix it). Aqualung will send it...

    Henderson instadry problems?

My shorty and full ID fits fine, maybe yours is cut wrong. In the fact sheet that came with mine, they talk about the wet/wet, dry/dry, and wet/dry issue. If you're wet and it's wet, it goes on fine. If you're dry and it's dry, fine again. But if one is wet and one is dry, what a pain! Mine...

    Instructor Mandated Equipment

They don't. Perfectly acceptable as far as PADI is concerned. I have a BP/W setup that I show the students alternate methods of OOA setups and discuss long hoses, short hoses, AIR II, etc. Bottom line, I want them to be knowledgable so when they're on a boat somewhere, they don't freak...

Suggestion New to diving vs. New to diving PRO

It's a Texas thing, developed because of some obscure training laws through Texas Education Agency (TEA). The application is called "PRE-DIVEMASTER MEMBER APPLICATION FOR TEXAS ONLY." From the application: Effective July 15, 1986, any diver in the state of Texas wishing to take a PADI...

    Henderson Insta Dry Wetsuit

Been diving a 3 mil Insta-dry about a year. If it's dry and you're dry, it comes on and off pretty easy; if you're wet and it's wet, the same. But if you're wet and it's dry, it's a real pain to get on. Off is easy, it peels. Baby powder helps putting it on if you have trouble. It's the...
