Wearing a thicker stache than in years past and during a dive in Belize last week I bubbled some salt water into my eye and DEAR JESUS it burned...I tried some silicone on the top lip and it helped for a bit, but I'm a partial nose breather/exhaler and I ended up flooding the mask again halfway...

Thanks for all the input so far...I love Asia and enjoy the culture and people, so I always forget about destinations closer to home. I think Belize or Bahamas just might be our next adventure :))

Ok folks...I HATE seeing the same thing twice! That being said, I'm looking to plan my next LOB dive trip. I'll be leaving from Texas, US and can travel anytime of the year, though June-July is preferable. Musts: Liveaboard Manageable Currents (my fiancé has<50 dives) Something to do topside...

Thanks all...we were planning on hiring a driver to pick us up and take us...I fancy myself a photographer and wanted to scout the countryside to get an idea of where I wanted to shoot, so the travel doesn't bother me.

I will be diving on the Mermaid II June 15th...this will be my third LOB trip and my second with Mermaid. I did the Thailand to Burma trip a few years ago...wonderful experience.

Can't find the altitude for Ubud, but want to dive in Tulamben then go back to our hotel in Ubud...Will this be safe? Also, how long will this drive take us?

I rarely take a vacation less than 2 1/2 weeks anymore...that usually gives me a week of diving, a week of touring and a few days travel time

All4Diving was recommended by Mermaid when we booked our trip for next month. Can anybody comment on this operator? If not, can you make a recommendation? Been awhile since I've done a liveaboard trip and my cursory perusal of the forums didn't help jog my memory, so here is the question: What did you forget or what did you wish you would have brought on your last liveaboard trip?

ok...figured it out... 1. find the longest bolt that is included in your kit...(I got the DC1000 Maxx) 2. disassemble the base by removing the bolt from the bottom. 3. put the long bolt through the weight and feed it through the base and into the base of the camera 4. so, the weight fits...

I read this is a common problem, apparently it's an issue that customer service can take care of. The buttons on mine take a concerted effort to depress.
