If you continue with this idea your best bet would be to have the program write the information to a Database whether a access database or a mysql or even a SQL database. That will make it a whole lot easier and even using a PHP or webbased language would be good and be easier to customize...
I personally think i will always use some sort of log book/computer program/notebook to record my dives for several reasons.
First to be able to look back and gather information for a dive at a previous site

You really need to get as much out of this class as you can. Even if the class is running fast just take the instructor aside and let them know you would like to slow down and learn. Everyone learns at different speeds and a good instructor knows that.

The reason i got into diving (just got certified), i did a dive in aruba years ago and loved every minute of it and always wanted to but never had the time and recently just said do it and now i am certified!
I did the cert thru PADI and i my first two dives were at back beach in Gloucester and the final two were at kettle rock with Cape Ann Divers.
I think i am going to do a few more dives before jumping into my AOW but that is next on my list of things to do..

There is a good book that my LDS (North East Scuba in chelmsford,MA) carries called Shore diving New England. The book is by Jerry Shine and it gives shore dives from maine down to CT.

I understand it as its your primary residence (yours happens to be NH). And if you dive for lobsters the license holder is the one who can dive for them (This permit may be endorsed for diving by the permit holder only.) , if you do pots(traps) then your immediate family can collect the pots...
