    Sidemount Training

Considering proper training. I started SM diving during Covid and with travel restrictions lifting I’m think about travelling to Florida in June. I’m interested in open water vs cave, however, I’m interested in wreck. My diving is 99% open water and 1% wreck with some light penetration. Looking...

    Double bolt snaps

As a new sm diver I was thinking about tank trim. Has anyone tried 2 bolt snaps on each tank, 1 snapped to a butt plate and the other to a waist d ring. My thinking is this would stop the the tank from hanging to low and from floating when low on gas, also would it minimize the torque needed...

Backmount to Sidemount Canister Cap Help

A new sidemount cap is $700 Canadian. 2 new EO cables $160.00 plus a few bucks for glands… I’m thinking of replacing the 2 glands with 90’s and wiring in 2 cables of the correct length. Seems straight forward. Any suggestions for glands. Thanks

    Where to tie bolt sanp

I want the light pointed down when clipped off. I've tried tying near the base around the groove but doesn't work very well. Number 1 in the picture. I haven't tried number 2 yet. Will cave line chafe if I feed it through the spring relief near the wire. Number 3.

    SS Viper Issue

The other day while using the DPV I noticed the propeller was wobbling, for a lack of a better term. Grabbing the propeller I get movement. I checked the pitch knob screw, and then the hub screws, finally removed all the components to look at the clutch plate and I can see 2 hairline cracks. I...

I have a Yellow Diving dual EO connector cap for my canister. Both piezo switches are not working. Head works when connected directly to the battery. Heated vest and gloves work directly. Using a volt meter I get a reading of .06 and .09 volts at the EO connector but does not change when...

    Hand wheel resistance

OMS manifold hand wheels are very difficult to open and close, other than when the tanks are pretty much empty. I’ve compared to other divers manifolds (different brands) and theirs work very well. I’ve seen videos of valve drills where the diver effortlessly can close and open any of the hand...

    New Light Head

Looking for a new light head to replace a Light for Me TecONE bought in 2012. Specs....35w led, 2500 lumens max. I Have a 25Ah canister battery which still holds it charge well. I find the light to be very focused and on dives with "decent" viability too narrow.
