Two AOI RGBlue System01 underwater video lights
Used on only three dives. Based on my usage pattern since I bought them 9 months I have concluded that I am far more interested still photography than video so I am selling my video lights. And I have new toys I need to finance.
They are in...
I shot some video with SOLA Nightsea light and a Hero 2 on our Belize trip a couple weeks ago. No special camera settings. The main thing I learned was that you need to use the wide/flood beam setting on the Nightsea light because the narrow beam completely blows out the video sensor.
See...
Since I always bring a large SLR rig, I really prefer not to be 'flag boy' on our south florida drift dives. But when I am flag boy it's usually one of those plastic yellow dohickies and I place my right arm through the large hole once we hit 'cruising' depth so I have both hands free. However...
I just got back from a 10 day live-aboard trip (Sun Dancer II) in Belize. I did some fluorescence still photography on one night dive using the Nightsea 4" exciter filter on a S&S YS-110A strobe. It worked very well. Here's a link to some of the photos: 13Belize/IMG_0623
I _assume_ you meant "spoil" :D
I live just north of Orlando. Most of my diving is done between Pompano Beach and Palm Beach and occasionally down to the Keys. We usually also do an annual liveaboard or dive resort for a week.
Can someone do the math of how many EAN40 tanks would be required to provide AL80 (77cu ft) EAN32 for let's say 'just' 12 divers over the course of 5+ days of 4 dive per day diving? Seems like a lot....
I'm thinking about replacing the 'factory' Faber plastic boots on our 80/100 HP tanks with boots that have a flat bottom. The last 3 or 4 dive boats we've been on did not have solid bases in the tank holders so the Faber tanks (with their "pointy" feet) tend to not want to stand up straight...
I also leave the 'standard' port cover on the boat when I use my E-PM1/EPL6 system. Same with the dome port cover on my DSLR system. I never ever allow my cameras to go in the boat camera rinse tank which is where most damage to ports could occur..
My experience with my E-PM1 and S&S YS-110A strobes is I got the 'best' TTL performance with the camera set to 'Fill' flash and the strobes in 'TTL' mode. This setup has also worked for other other people as well. 'Fill' flash is not the same as a preflash. 'Fill' flash is used to light the...
Does "everything" include airline flights? (You reference United points) What about (rental) scuba equipment?
Scuba Club Cozumel is a nice dive resort and there are many others with 'dive' packages.
Bonaire is also nice for entry level divers.
Best reply so far. :)
I hate to be the Olympus shill, but for $500 you can get the E-PM1 package (camera, 14-42 lens, housing, zoom gear) and add $500 for the Zen 9-18 (14-42) port and you have a nice starter package (although I can't fathom (har har) an UW camera system without a strobe).
