    My Blacktip Leaked Yesterday

It's a 25+ year old model and those lead acid batts can barely do a single dive. You are right that they are cheap at $900 used or lower. The parts are really getting hard to find prices are insane like $60 for a cover Oring. The aggravation with how often they break isn't worth the downtime...

    My Blacktip Leaked Yesterday

Hopefully no damaged electrical components. We do some steep dives with plenty of action. But I hate having it in the back of my mind after a fix/repair. I just want my stuff to work all the time, every time and I'll pay anything to trust 100% my equipment. Hope you find the leaker.

    Spearfishing Wetsuit vs Loading Pad

Alot of spearo's also use a very cheap foam foot sandal (aka flip-flop) and cut 1/3 off plus the straps and glue it to the inside of your wetsuit. Works very well.

    Trip Report Puerto Galera Philippines: March 23 - April 2, 2024 - SCANDI DIVERS - Part 2

Dive Tanks............. I'm guessing the resort has & you were using AL80 (11ltr) ? Were steel tanks available? What was your normal starting PSI & did you have any low fills? Any wide variances in nitrox mix from day to day. Great writeup and future resource for helping divers decide on trip...

    Pony Size & Travel

Since it will be empty upon arrival,,,how do you plan to fill it and will the " filler " require a VIP charge? I'll avoid the whole size question, but just relate about my fill logistics. I dive with a 6cuft pony with a short 8 inch LP hose & button gauge and I do travel with it in a suitcase...

Question Why can I find only one very large (30l) air tank?

Good luck getting a scuba shop to agree to fill that to it's working pressure of 4500psi, because they won't.

How's the Scuba in Puerta Vallarta?

I was there in June 2023. Was scheduled to go with PV Ocean tours, but high waves and zero'd viz canceled the 2 days I was to go out. Otherwise was looking forward to the usual critters and 30ft of viz. I stayed at the north end and Uber's were very cheap and fast. Parking is non-existent...

    Underwater photography Galapagos

Just 1 opinion from doing a summer trip to GoPo and others will have input. It's the big animals that get all the excitement and most of the time they are 15ft or more away from the divers. That puts them pretty far outside the range of small economical strobe flash distance. And then like you...
