Komodo Trip Review with Mermaid II Liveaboard

The rooms were slightly larger than average. Headroom on the top bunk was decent - the first liveaboard in which I wasn’t in constant fear of hitting my head when sitting up. The bathrooms combined shower/toilet/sink. It worked. There were 3 spaces to hangout - a shaded outdoor salon, an...

Komodo Trip Review with Mermaid II Liveaboard

Komodo ties with Papua New Guinea for me. I’ve not been to Raja Ampat - the dive crew and other guests ranked that slightly higher than Komodo. The cost was $3000 for the entire 8d/7n journey.

Komodo Trip Review with Mermaid II Liveaboard

Hi- I’ve not been on Mermaid I nor to other parts of Indonesia. That being said, everyone else on my boat had. They unanimously said that Komodo was second only to Raja Ampat, with Raja Ampat beating Komodo on dense schools of fish.

Hey divers!! Just returning from a 7-day stay on the Roatan Aggressor liveaboard, my annual father-son dive trip. In summary: great diving, but the diving was completely outshone by the truly superb service by the entire Aggressor crew, led by Alan Roberts. The onboard service was so...

Just returning from 5 days and nights at Walindi (July 2014). 11 dives over 4 days in Kimbe Bay. In summary, Walindi is a beautiful hotel in a gloriously tropical surrounding. The diving is absolutely top class and worth the effort getting there. The hotel and surroundings: a collection...

Cozumel vs. Bonaire & top Asian/Pacific dive spots??

Hi guys - I am considering visiting Cozumel for the first time this July. Have historically shyed away from it because I have worried that its popularity could mean cattle-car dive boats, crowded dive sites and potentially diver-damaged reefs. Can anyone compare the quality/experience...
