And just my opinion, but so often people seem to be looking for anyway to save a few bucks. You trust your life with the gear you dive with. No ask yourself, how much is your life worth.

I bought my tanks on line. LDS charged me for the vis. No bigee. Get the vis done, wether free or not. Well worth the safety and peace of mind.

I personally use a 130 steel with Nitrox for deeper dives. I wanted the longer bottom time. I say take the class, but shop around. I did mine with SDI online, for $95 about a year and half ago.

Agreed. But i think, looking at the OP, it states 3-400 dives. This was not a new diver. I feel it just goes to show that it can be very easy to loose focus in a panic situation, no matter the experience level. Something everyone can learn from.

I have had similar issue, just this past weekend. My high pressure hose blew just under the protector. Now partially my fault as I should have checked it more frequently, but my opinion is the hose protectors can stay on the shelf at the LDS.

I also look forward to hearing more positive posts abut this operation in the future. You just can't beat the 3 tank deal, and I personally thought for a 6 pack, it was very roomy.
