    Hockeynut injured

I just saw this thread. Evidently Hockeynut was seriously injured at work when crane fell on him. Once again Scubaboard is rallying to help one of our own. Jim isn't exactly a Swamper, but I think everyone on Scubaboard has talked to him at some or other, so I thought I'd repost this here for...

    Prayers for a swamper

Wonderful news! Isn't Scubaboard connectedness great?! Heard this on the radio today. It reminds me of David's situation (painful). MercyMe - The Hurt & The Healer (New Song 2012) - YouTube

"Diving for Science" might be Diving for BALLS!

May be a moot point: Texas State scraps plan to develop new golf holes near Spring Lake Says in part: that the problem was plans for a RR overpass on Aquarena Springs Dr that would have taken out 2 holes of the golf course, 118 parking spaces and necessitated moving the Proshop. The overpass...

Swamp Diving - be a body

This was posted to the UT dive club. I spoke to Karen and half a day of diving is fine, if that's all the time you have. Lake GT has about 6 inches of viz on a good day so this qualifies as Swamp Diving for sure. Working depth is 10-14 feet. Temp last weekend was 82F. Divers go down in pairs...

    San Antonio

As far as I know Sea World doesn't have any scuba diving options for the public. They do have a behind the scenes tour that you and your family might find interesting. New Braunfels is about 30 miles N of San Antonio and you can putter around in the Comal River at Hineman Island park. It's...

Any Aquarena divers up for salamander work?

Texas Parks & Wildlife has certified science divers. I bet they'll be the ones doing the collecting. They are still going to need water from the springs because that's what the SM salamanders and darters are adapted to. Anyone heard what diving restrictions were imposed when flow dropped below...
