Thanks all, very helpful! I'm unclear on one thing, though. I won't be diving with two tanks, but would the Scout's lift capacity support 1 steel tank or 1 aluminum plus a pony, or even a steel w/ pony combo? I'm more interested in being a diver than an anchor.. :)

Thanks for all the responses!! So, in a multi-level dive to deep depths, would maintaining these depths and times, for an example, while still swimming be considered a 'stop' - although you're not really stopped?? That said, every dive I've done we've literally stopped for the final 5 min...
