I have a couple of Flathead VI's on my doubles rig...routing is spot on and they perform admirably. I dont think you will be disappointed.
I haven't seen anybody using SR1's on doubles yet.
Not sure where to put this since there isn't an UW A/V forum.
Short question is: who makes the iDive UW housing for the iPhone?
I have been unable to hunt down the answer online and hoped someone here might have one and/or know a little more about its mfg. I know they are sold by H2O Audio...
What your doing is interpreting what you have read about PSI/DOT etc on the internet and applying it to the best of your abilities(however inaccurately), which is fine...i guess. But there is a reason PSI does not teach their cylinder inspection program online. You can NOT effectively convey the...
This is the statement I was referring to. Perhaps you worded it wrong or you didn't efficiently transmit your thoughts to type. From my view however it seems as if you are trying to say that tank cracks and catastrophic failures are mutually exclusive. Begging the question that if 6351 tanks...
That might be true, but the SCUBA industry has been actively eliminating these tanks for quite some time to stem that very scenario.
I think what I was asking before what under what circumstances is a crack in a pressure vessel acceptable. It seems to me that cracks are NEVER acceptable under...
You can tumble out rust but you can't very well tumble out cracks can you?
But that wasn't my question at all. I was asking you to clarify your statement on cracks.
BTW I counted four sentences in my last post. How has this become a one sentence debate?
Just to be clear. Are you asking if cracks in the walls of a pressure vessel are a problem or stating that they are not?
Because saying they aren't a problem is just plain silly. Try saying it out loud a couple times, you'll have a laugh...I did.
You are wrong...
The visual eddy machine that you keep throwing all your faith behind doesn't catch everything. In fact most of these time bomb tanks are caught by the VE machine between your VIP tech's ears. I have a pile of 6351 cylinder shoulders that have VERY deep cracks in them and were...
Your tank is one of the original Faber M series steel tanks, specifically the 120cf variant.
They were service rated for 3180 psi + 10% so 3498 all said and done. This is a 3AA tank so its somewhat important to note that it was designed to satisfy different DOT requirements than the newer and...
Your right...filling these tanks is really abusive. The best way to take care of these is to leave them empty in your closet. Or better yet when you have the hydro facility write "condemned" all over it and X's out all the DOT stamps, they will usually "take care of it" for you.
We have over 2000 shipwrecks in NC coastal waters...including 4 German U-boats and one US S-boat as well as numerous coastguard cutters, barges, transports, tugs, pirate ships, steamers, etc.
