I think the idea of a scuba diving simulation game is a great idea. Have you looked at "Endless Ocean" on the Nintendo Wii? It covers a lot of the things that you just said but very vaguely. It has a compass on the screen that shows which direction you are going but it doesn't really have...
For months I had no idea what this fish was called. I knew it was a sea bream but it looked a little like a John Dory. I looked on the web, in books and asked every diver mate of mine if they knew but I could get a name. It wasn't until I had submitted this photo online a few months ago did I...
Very docile during the day but become active at night. They are very easy to snap as they don't seem to be bothered by much providing you don't provoke them.

Usually quite timid creatures, the Damselfish prefer to stay away from divers (especially in my area). They sometimes swim in large schools but this little guy was hiding on one of the rocks. It was the closest I had got to one of them and I was lucky to get close to one with my camera
My all-time favourite marine creature has got to be the Octopus (all families). This little guy was no exception, He (or she) was perched on the side of this rock and I just had to take a photo.
These fish are very curious but timid and will sometimes hide from you but will keep an eye on you at the same time. When you turn your back to them, they sometimes come out off their hidey holes and will follow you.
