Are there any opportunities for English speaking DMs in the Tokyo area? PADI switched me over to PADI Japan, but I'd rather keep my status with PADI America (cheaper) if I'm not actively working here.

Any interesting dives happening on or around June 22nd? Instructor buddy will be in town and we might be up for a fun dive in the Tokyo area that day.

Yeah... I'm in Yokohama. Just got back from Bali.

I'm moving back to Yokohama soon. I'd love some buddies up there... I got a free place to stay in Kagawa, Shikoku if any divers want to come down here in the next month or two. The local dive shop staff would love another English speaker to practice on I'm sure. :)

What kind of water temperatures can I expect in Shikoku and in Okinawa? Thanks!

Thanks! I figured I'd go into a shop or two in Takamatsu and see what I can find out after I arrive. I'm sure I could communicate ok in person, but my Japanese is a little rusty for the phone. I was hoping I could find a dive buddy near me, but this might take some work... :)

Good to know... What shop(s) would you recommend? I would definitely like to check out the "pyramids" while down there... Seem interesting.

I'll be moving to the Takamatsu area. Any divers around there? I should have a couple of weeks off in August to dive and my gear should be there by then. I'm coming from Oahu, so it's going to take me some time to adjust from being able to dive a couple times a week... It would be nice...

Kewalo Pipe from the Jon Dominis shore entry? You had no trouble with boat traffic? Was the buoy easy enough to see at night or did you drop at dusk? I may want to give that a try.

Not sure but can find out. Kona has soooo many more shops and dive boats than anywhere else in the islands already though.

My friend lost a SL6 reflector at the Trench a couple days ago... Whole light sounds like a better find tho.

Update... Ran into someone doing a Waianae beach clean up. We're going to coordinate. Date and location TBD, but should be next month.

I'm game... Weather wasn't cooperating that month at all. Halona Blowhole needs a cleanup badly. We might want to wait a month or two until we can get in there consistantly.

Softer compound split fins like your Apollos or Oceanic V12s would be good choices. Or I hear the new Scubapro Seawing Novas are good for that too. I haven't had the opportunity to test them myself. Force Fins... Depends on your technique. I've heard people say they were easy on the ankles and...
