I can only say what worked for me. I had the same problem and my solution was to inhale through my mouth and exhale slowly through my nose. For me exhaling through the reg allowed water to come in my nose.

My buddy had the same problem, but not the led version. He called and was told they had a lifetime warranty and to send it in and it would be fixed or replaced.

That is the only way I can do a mask off breath, if I exhale through the reg without the mask on I will get water up my nose. I had this problem in class and needed extra time alone to practice and understand what I believe is going on. I could be wrong but for me during normal mouth breathing...

I have the ACR and it fits in the OMS canister rated to 600', clips under my right arm pit and do not even know its there. Granted this is not going to help with an underwater emergency, but for worrying about missing the boat, this is what I do. Would share some photos if you pm me with an address.

I think the word "snorkel" is a fun word used to describe a fun experience and at the same time descibes itself, at least to those that know what it means and at the very least is easily described. nothing is good or bad, thinking makes it so.

I also keep a spare on each tank through the cap. Always nice to be able to help out my dive buddies when needed.
