Good to know... It'll be at least a year before I can scrounge the money to get qualified on one and I want all the bugs worked out. Who knows when or if I'll ever be able to afford one... :)
Hey I might... I'm in Bonaire :D for a week starting next Sat., and will most likely be depressed for several weeks after I get back :depressed:... It might be good to get some bottom time before the trip if there's time hmmm... :hm:
This sounds like what I've been waiting on for a LONG time; A re-breather that is simple to setup, maintain, use and is financially in the realm of possibility. I have been interested in CCR's for as far back as I can remember but there have always been obstacles to my seriously pursuing...
So that's what happened to Capt. Vern? WoW!!! I heard he died and his service was no longer available but didn't know he was murdered... YIKES!!! I was on Utila for six weeks last year and used his service once... Sad, but alas Honduras isn't a place for the feint of heart.
We stayed there on our 1st & only (T-10 days & counting) trip to Bonaire and It was a really nice place. The hostess was wonderful and the breakfast tasty -prepared on our schedule. We only did shore diving so can't tell you about the boat experience. The host runs the dive operation while...
Thanks for the info... If I ever get over there I'll definitely look his operation up --sounds exactly like our kind of op. Though with limited time & dive dollars it won't be anytime soon... :(
Any idea "Ball park" what they charge for east coast? I saw rates but looks like they were for west coast dives. I want to see if it's even in the realm of possibility... !
Thanks for the great report... We are there for the same package in 11 days -though staying in a studio. I know there isn't a view but we're rarely in the room. :)
I've read a couple other posts: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/greater-caribbean-bermuda/431725-manta-buddy-dive-bonaire-pics.html so I guess if you're extremely fortunate... :)
Hey guys... My dive buddy (and best friend) is my wife but she is sworn off lakes. I must admit the Caribbean does spoil you, but sometimes you have to get your fix. I have often wanted to try my hand at spear fishing to give me something to do while I'm down there. If anyone is a pro and...
WoW!!! You're very fortunate not to have ended up the subject of a "Lessons for life" article in a popular dive mag... Thanks for the post & glad you're both are O.K...
