Volunteers Divers Wanted for Sea Perch Event

If you are still looking for volunteers, I would love to help with this event. I checked the SeaPerch website for more info to try and find the location of the event. It appears that this may be spread out over several venues. Which location will the team be attending? I will give the shop a...

    Scubapro MK25 goes Mo' money!

I wouldn't pay extra for that. Never cared for gold or gold color on anything. Any jewelry I own is white gold, silver, or stainless. I even had to remove the gold Chevy bowties from the grill and tailgate of my truck. Replaced them with black, of course.

    Quarter turns

This is the primary reason that I hear from instructors teaching this. You can do the same thing without partially closing the valve. See post #3 and more detailed description in post #7 from ScubaSteve. I still see no benefit to partially closing the valve.

    Quarter turns

I do what ScubaSteve does. He just did a much better job explaining it than I did. ;)

    Quarter turns

I do not use the quarter turn. I use a slight turn. Not enough to actually move the valve. I stop at the point just before you can feel the valve moving. I prefer to have the valve completely open. I don't see how having the valve partially closed could be of any benefit.

PADI pro website and padi pro questions

1.) I believe the numbers have to do with your location. 2.) Are you an instructor or just a divemaster? In order to be in teaching status, you must be an instructor, or a divemaster with an assistant instructor rating.

    St. Croix Trip

For shore diving, you can't beat the pier at night and Cane Bay for the wall. At Cane Bay, get tanks at their shop ( Cane Bay Dive Shop ) just across from the beach. Easy swim out to the wall. No babysitter required. There are several great ops to dive with. I recommend S.C.U.B.A. St Croix...

PADI Metric Wheel Recreational Dive Planner

The wheel has been discontinued. Some shops may still have some available, but I am sure quantities are limited. PADI would much rather you purchase the eRDPML. From what I see, it is actually cheaper than what I see the wheel going for. PADI The Wheel Planner Metric 60048 - PADI Scuba Course...

Can you help save marine life?!

danvolker, That is incredible. I don't think I've even seen Bubblemakers with that bad of a kicking technique. And even the ones that I have seen having trouble, learned how to kick properly with just a minute or two of instruction. I wonder why he even bothered to don his fins. They were not...

BHB Dive Party Planned Oct. 20, 2012

This sounds like a lot of fun. I was in Key Largo and almost got to make it to the party last year, but got called back home to work the day before the event. Hopefully this year I can make the event. Will let you know when I find out for sure if I have that week free or not. Thanks for the invite!

    H2o Dive Log (freeware)

I just installed version 1.83. Even after choosing English at the beginning of the install process, the application launched in French. I had to manually change it to English using the Aide tab then the pulldown window. Just started playing with it, but it looks good so far!

How do I cancel my Supporting Member Subsctiption

Howard, My post was not to address the OP's question, since it was already answered by you (in a roundabout and somewhat demeaning way) and by Cave Diver, who chose a more professional approach. Not trying to attack anyone, just pointing out my view. I was simply informing NetDoc that it was...
