    EOS Free-flow a common problem?

If the 'free-flow' bothers you, then I will trade my perfect-condition Delta 4 for your EOS :D

    EOS Free-flow a common problem?

The adjustment proceedures for all the Oceanic 'Adjustable' regs seems to be the same. The manual listed for the EOS and the DELTA 4 is the same on the Oceanic website, so I guess it is the same for all of them. The instructions in the manual refer to the "DELTA 3", but just apply it to your...

    Newbie looking for dive comp

Have a look at the Oceanic Atom 2.0 Oceanic Worldwide - Personal Dive Computers - Atom 2.0 Wristwatch It is also wrist-mounted, and air-intergrated like the Suunto D9. The only thing missing is the digital compass, but then again it is less than half the price as the D9. I LOVE my Atom :D

To go for AOW or not

PADI Advanced Open Water (AOW) only requires you to do 5 dives. A deep and navigation dive as madatory, with 3 selective dives (Under-water Naturalist, Peak performance Boyancy, Wreck, etc). There is some reading material for each dive, with a "Knowledge Review" before the dive, and a post...

Which reg set would you pick?

For around R6000 you could get a Delta 4 + Alpha 8 Octo + Gauges, the GT3 would be cheaper. I would definately choose the Delta 4 over the Cressi Ellipse Titanium, and not only because I dive with Oceanic. If you read on the board, you will see that there are many people that are happy with...

    Which regulator do you own?

    Oceanic Delta 4 on FDX-10 1st + Alpha 8 Octo - Rec diving only.

Which reg set would you pick?

My brother has the Cressi Ellipse (not Titanium), and he seems happy with it. I think it uses the same first stage as the Titanium. As long as you are only planning on doing recreational diving, then the Cressi should be fine. Have you checked on servicing and support for Cressi in SA though?

Which reg set would you pick?

viceroy, why not look at the Oceanic range? Just like everywhere else, Oceanic support in SA is excellent, and good prices too. Not sure what the prices are that you were quoted for those regs, but I am sure you could get a GT3 or maybe even the Delta 4 for the same price. I agree on SP, here...

How do I link VT3 to Transmitter?

I am not sure of the steps for a VT3 as I have a Atom 2.0, but you need to programme the transmitter serial number into the PDC to 'link' them together. The instructions will be in the manual. The transmitter serial number is printed on a little sticker that should be stuck to the transmitter...

A leaking SPG - no back up. Now what?

I dive with an AI wrist-mounted PDC (Atom 2.0), and also have a mini SPG attached. If one should fail, I will continue the dive. Should the other then fail on the same dive, then I would abort the dive. I would love to hear about someone that had a AI PDC and a SPG fail on the same dive...
