Yes, with the transmitter on our i750TC. As the i750TC was a peace of crap anyway, Aqualung made us an offer for a new i770R including a new transmitter that was more than gracious. I would ask my dealer to try to get a good deal on a new transmitter.
I was on Apremilast at that time for around 6 months. Between my skin doctor, Celgene and my diving physician we decided to get off Apremilast. After that the coughing fits became less and less. In the meantime coughing has been added to the list of side effects.
Hi, not an asthmatic at all, passed all my lung exams with flying colours  . It turned out that the medication I was taking for my psiorasis was the culprit. Stopped taking it and am back to normal since. For a while I was limiting my self to "rec" dives where I could live with 0.7 ppO2...
Purely anecdoctical here as well: At the height of my problems I started coughing around 40-45mins into the dive when running at 1.3 ppO2. As the OP stated he is asthmatic his lungs might be more susceptic to PTO.
From the paper: "Based on the results of the humidity study, we need to remove the moisture from CO2 in the air stream.". So IMHO no use in rebreathers (yet). Not to mention what Dr. Simon Mitchell has stated as prerequistes to have a proper and usefull reading in a rebreather.
Please stay away from Egypt - it's too crowded any way
I would not do BDE on a one week trip, expecially if the trip runs the usual Thursday to Thursday, as all boats will hit BD&E on the same dates.
Define "South". Fury Shoals are little to no current, so is St. Johns. Some of the worst currents I had was on the Thislegorm, were we were unable to dive on multiple ocoassions.
We never did need to swim back against the current, and we even changed plans mid-dive due to up comimg currrents...
a) in 20+ years of quick connects I never had one disconnect on me, under pressure it's close to impossible to do that
b) it call only sail way if you are one of those divers dragging their stuff through the reef, as the computer is secured to th eBCD like all other danglies
