Scubafish & Blue Planet Divers on Ko Lanta

I will be island hopping in the Andaman sea for about 12 days from March 1st visiting Koh Ngai, Koh Kradan and likely finishing with about 5 days in Ko Lanta. From my research Scubafish and Blue Planet are recommended on Lanta but Scubafish trips to Hin Daeng charges 5000 baht plus a 1000 baht...

Review of 5d/5n Burma Liveaboard Dive Trip with AICD (Based in Ranong, Thailand)

You say you have done 7 trips with AIDC but never posted a trip report then you register for your one and only post to solely refute the OP its hard to take your opinion as objective.

Review of 5d/5n Burma Liveaboard Dive Trip with AICD (Based in Ranong, Thailand)

Bowmouth [My 2 questions are: Is there any form of drift diving against the current? How safe and fun will it be to go diving in dark caves with AIDC?] Apparently not very safe since they have malfunctioning and insufficient supplies of torches to go around !

OW in PG - dive shop recommendations

I dived with Action Divers in 2008 and 2009. A small run operation with mostly UK divemaster/guides. Their prices were good, rental equipment was just ok, the guys were super friendly and helpful. They have a lot of experience and often team up with another shop down in sabang. I would dive with...

    Andaman Closures?

Could someone give an unbiased opinion on how severe the bleaching is at the reefs on the Similans. I was planning on doing a trip the end of march but this is making me rethink it now.

My first liveaboard - Black Manta or Queen Scuba?

Arizona - Is that trip on black manta from March 28-April 1 a private trip. I noticed on the black manta schedule that their last similan trip of the year is from March 24-28. I was planning on doing a liveaboard the last week of march but haven't decided on a boat yet. Sorry for hijacking the...

Diving with dolphins in the wild

Kaikoura in the south island of New Zealand has a regular pod that hangs out pretty much all the time. Not diving snorkelling only and really cold water. Dolphin Encounter, Kaikoura, New Zealand

    Ear Problem / Pain

I couldn't tell you how many times I've watched that video but I still have trouble equalizing. I've found what works best for me is a combination of the valsalva which only ever clears my left ear and a simultaneous swallow which clears my right ear. Its a pain to do both at the same time...

    Clearing Allergies Congestion before Liveaboard

I am hoping to do a liveaboard next april to the Similan Islands in Thailand. Typically April is the worst month for my allergies with congestion and blocked sinuses. When I go abroad to a dry hot climate my allergies always clear up. Is there a way to speed up the process before I leave...

Opinions on Phi Phi overnight trip?

How am I hijacking, I'm responding to another post about divesite conditions on ko phi phi ? Maybe you should learn to read properly, its hardly deviating from the topic of discussion here. ps. With an attitude like that don't expect too many people to help you out.

Opinions on Phi Phi overnight trip?

Another dive shop operator based in phuket in this same thread also stated "As for the coral, I was just at Phi Phi today, and there is quite a lot bleaching." You say a little and she says a lot ? Based on averages I tend to believe them not you, it seems like you're sugarcoating reality or...

Thai Air Baggage Allowance + Eight hour stop over in Bangkok airport

If you haven't left already you should definitely get out of the airport and travel into bangkok. Load up on great thai food coz the food in the philippines is not very good, too bland for my taste. Plenty of things to check out, taxi are cheap and if arriving late at night it should be no more...

Budget, but not sleaze - Big Apple ? Puerto Galera

I don't remember the room numbers, but I remember Daniel was the guy I dealt with, he's really young but extremely helpful. I had the room on the ground level at the far right. Hope it works out for you, the price was great. I have no info on the budget rooms. Post a review when you get back okay.

Budget, but not sleaze - Big Apple ? Puerto Galera

If you do make a booking at Sabang Inn upgrade for a few extra pesos to the larger room and ask for one facing the ocean at the front. The pool is relatively small but so are all the others in sabang. They also do breakfast in the morning.

Budget, but not sleaze - Big Apple ? Puerto Galera

When I first dived in Puerta Galera 2 years ago I stayed at Big Apple and moved out after my first night. The room was horrible perhaps the dingiest I ever stayed in.. The light in the room seemed to have a 5 watt bulb, it was musty, lousy bed and full of mozzies. However I do suspect that some...

Budget, but not sleaze - Big Apple ? Puerto Galera

I stayed at Sabang Inn on the waterfront, the guy gave me a superior room for the regular price and it was huge, think I paid $17, it was great value. I paid two and a half times the amount for a shoebox of a room at Alona Beach in Bohol. Have a look at their website Sabang Inn Resort, Room...
