    DX-1G housing for a 2G Ricoh camera

I currently have the DX-1G, and I am wondering if I could just buy the 2G Ricoh camera and use my existing housing. The housings on the Sea & Sea site look the same except for differences in colour. I have checked with several dive stores in Toronto, and no one has been able to give me a...

Help me decide : San Andrès or Roatan !!!

I've been to both places. Roatan has more dive sites, a lot more fish, and is one of the least expensive dive destinations in the Carribean.

    Problem guests on a liveaboard

One thing I should have mentioned in my opening post was that the liveaboard was very small, the one we booked was out-of-service, as something happened to it one week prior to our trip. The replacement liveaboard was very nice, with the same amount of rooms, but a lot less deck space to get...

    Problem guests on a liveaboard

We have not been on a liveaboard for almost eight years, because of the bad experience we had with a few guests who made our ten day "trip of a lifetime" very miserable. There was one retired couple who complained about absolutely everything and spent all their time on the trip trying to...

    Caribbean

We just booked a trip with Suzy at the Dive Bus, and we are anxious to get diving again in two weeks. The diving looks good in Curacao, but prices seem to be a lot higher than other Carribean destinations.

    mola mola (sun fish)

About 11 years ago, my husband and I were diving in off the coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and at the end of the dive doing our safety stop, an eight to ten foot Mola Mola approached the divers, and stayed with us as long as we were in the water. We ended up doing a 40 minute...

Dive resort suggestions - North Sound or Victoria or Vancouver?

One of our best diving experiences was on a liveaboard from Port Hardy, we were in Johnson Strait between Malcom Island and Alert Bay, and saw a pod of four killer whales during our dive. After surfacing they hung around the boat for topside pictures. The diving off Vancouver Island from...

How to get mold off equipment??

I had mould in the corners of my mask, and I used 3% peroxide, and it worked very well to remove it all. I just let the peroxide sit in the mask overnight. It might be worth a try.

Diver Indicted in 2003 GBR mishap

I was following this story after seeing it on CNBC, and found the Husband's description of events leading to his wife's death totally unbelievable. I doubt if any diver, even a newbie would believe his story. May justice finally be served.

    Greetings to Scubaboard

Yes, cool dives are great for the scenery, especially coral growth in British Columbia, but a little hard on the fingers after about 20 minutes to make any adjustments to your BC, and small UW camera buttons. My 3 finger dry gloves are not dry at all !!! Diving in the Great Lakes is not as...

    Greetings to Scubaboard

Hi, my husband and I are avid scuba divers, and joined Scubaboard to find out about interesting places to dive around the world. We have been diving extensively in Canada and the Carribean, and we would like to book a trip to somewhere in the Pacific or Indian Ocean. I am thinking of the...
