Best Dive Store with 50 miles of NYC?

Yes, I remember clubbing at Limelight during the 80's. Surreal to see dancing, drinking, and "other" activities in a former church. Happy memories.

Best Dive Store with 50 miles of NYC?

When I lived in NYC, I used Pan Aqua Diving on W.43rds St, and Adventure Scuba on York Ave. As I no longer live there, I'm not sure if they're still open but they had a good inventory of wetsuits when I first got into diving. Good luck and safe diving.

Hi need some Florida diving recommendation

What part of Florida will you be vacationing in? Key West, Ft Lauderdale area, cave country, panhandle, or the gulf coast? That will give posters an idea of what dive sites you will be near.

Travel BCD Recommendation for a Petit Woman

Out of the 3 listed, I only have experience with the Zeagle Zena. I owned a Zeagle Zena for 1.5 years, and loved how well it sat on my torso compared to a rental BCD. I was an avid open water diver living in NY and did dive trips to FL, CA, Costa Rica, and Mexico with my Zeagle Zena. It traveled...

    Jean Nelson, aka jeandiver

When I first started cave diving in 2011, I always saw Jean at Peacock. We had many mutual cave diving friends, and her buddy was always someone I knew. She was very friendly and smiled whenever we ran into each other. I saw Jean less frequently at Peacock starting in 2016. She seemed to...

Have you used an Air 2 in COLD water?

To the OP, I got an Air 2 when I was a newly minted OW diver with 4 post-OW class under my belt.. I'd just come off a FL boat dive where both the rental reg and rental BCD were leaking. Frustrated, I decided to buy my own gear, and walked into a dive shop and bought a BCD, reg, dive computer...

    Conditions report? North Florida

You can call any of the local dive shops (Cave Country Dive Shop, Extreme Exposure, Amigos Dive Center, Lake City Dive Center, or Dive Outpost) if you want the most up to day conditions. They're great about sharing that information. Safe dives to you.

Have you tested positive for COVID?

@Wookie Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hoping you are not what they call a “long hauler” who suffers from covid complications many months after the infection. A local acquaintance of mine is what they call a long hauler. She got sick in March and has bad weeks, then not so bad weeks, then...
