HI Folks, I'm on this boat but there are still 6 open spots. Private charter limited to twenty advanced divers. As i understand it Farnsworth will be one of the sites.
There are still spaces available on the overnight trip to San Clemente Island next week--Sept. 7 & 8--on the Sundiver out of...
I was wondering if anybody has the GPS coordinates for local wrecks such as the Avalon & Olympic, Redondo pipe farm, Hermosa Reef, etc.
I remember seeing a thread a long time ago where someone was working on these but I can't find it.
wow, great questions Claudette. Because I grew up and dive in this ocean all the time I forget that some may not consider 4' surf entry in 7mm with 60 pounds of gear a into 10' viz with surge a regular dive :-)
depending on how early you can get out there are great places in Palos Verdes which is right by Long Beach, for a night dive there is Vet's park in Redondo Beach again not too far. So like the other's have said just say hi when you get here and many of us would be glad to help out or even make...
I would highly recommend looking into a cruise ship. On Carribean cruise's you can dive (usually two tank mornig or one tank afternoon) while she relaxes, they also have great snorkeling (you could even try a "resort" dive course with her), the food is top notch 5 star and endless...
Duh, I guess I should've looked at the date before saying I wouldn't be around. I'll be there. Looks like lettuce, onion, relish and mayo are still needed, so I'll bring those.
Christian, Let me know if you want me to bring the EZ-UP.
no problem with using the whole tank in one dive...just not on the surface ;).
I'll probably be diving in Mexico on this weekend so I won't be there unless plans change.
Reminder: Laguna Beach Laws require you have a snorkel in your possesion while diving.
Is anyone else planning on attending this event? Maybe do a dive in Malibu after?
Divers' Safety Day 2007 - and also the first GLACD 3R's event for 2007.
Divers' Safety Day is a day to learn about what you can do to make diving
Great photo's Terry, John & Scott. Nice to see everyone again. Thanks for leading me on my first LJS dive Terry and making sure we saw more than sand. Christian, I hope your toe get's better. Won't see you guys in Laguna cuz I'll be at La bufadora, but I'll see y'all in Catalina!
7mm "barrier" wetsuit, 4.3 Xcel hooded vest (Never heard of 4.3 before but thats what it says, hood seems thicker), 7mm booties, and 3mm gloves. bringing 5mm gloves just in case, if hands get cold I'll use em for second dive, if not they go back to SC still in package. lol.
I've been in 52...
Wow, look at me just gettin passed around, lol. I went and bought hot dogs, buns, onions and.... A hooded vest, LOL. I've been wanting one anyway and 47 degrees convinced me. Almost bought 5mm gloves too, still might.
I wasn't gonna post on this thread because I'll be busy all week and didn't want to clutter the board. But I saw you moved from Florida so figured I'd just let you know that our current water temps are around 54, sometimes dropping to 52. So you should have at least a 7mm wetsuit and thick...
