Oh no! My 72s are too small for tech classes! :(

I would recommend they find a different instructor. Anybody that allows al80s but not steel 72s has no real idea about gas volumes.

    Transmitters?

Yes, I love them. I used to use button gauges on my unit and grew tired of people whining about it. Now I have transmitters and when people whine, I can scroll and show them the pressures.

    Twin LP50's question on manifolds

The narrow one is considerably easier to reach valves. That is the only difference I have found.

At what age did you switch to the rebreather? (From OC)

If you thought burpees and a death march in doubles was bad, wait til you do it with a back mount rebreather and two AL80s on. Burpees are hard in sidemount.

Very curious, why the narked HUD? It is very expensive and IMO not as good as the fathom HUD.

What do you look for in students to tell if they are ready for AN/DP?

Yeah, that is my spider web, I get asked a lot if it is a shark cage. My first thought is always "Yes, we sink the whole boat and look at Great Lakes sharks."

What do you look for in students to tell if they are ready for AN/DP?

There are a few US boats with lifts. One in Florida, one in NC, and mine in the Great Lakes. Not the norm, but it does exist.

How long is it safe to store a steel tank empty

Indefinitely. Unless stored in a corrosive environment, sitting unvalved won't have any effect on the tank's integrity.

What do you look for in students to tell if they are ready for AN/DP?

Gear and equipment familiarity. Your ANDP course shouldn't be the first time you dive doubles. It shouldn't be the first time you are in a drysuit. There are courses tailored to those things. You should have a good understanding of the basic kicks, know what they are and how to do them. If you...

    Drysuit neck seal rolls up

Unless it is cut for a abnormally small neck, it won't be damaged from it.

    Drysuit neck seal rolls up

If you have latex, yes, it will stretch over the first few months of diving it. With silicone, I have never noticed any permanent stretch.

    Drysuit neck seal rolls up

Correct, the seal should lay flat against your neck. If they are too tight, it will try and roll. Insert a two liter bottle through the neck seal and cut with a new razor blade. Do not lift the blade, make one continuous straight cut. Scissors tend to leave a ragged edge. Stress risers along the...

    Drysuit neck seal rolls up

Sounds like it is too tight. Try cutting a ring off.

At what age did you switch to the rebreather? (From OC)

I was 34. I was at the point that I was spending thousands of dollars per year on open circuit mixed gases. It finally actually made financial sense to make that leap. I haven't looked back, but I dive equal amounts OC and CC these days.

New compressor setup anything to look out for?

He is correct, it is a very loaded question. Where are you located, where will the compressor be located? What are you planning to fill, how often? The PE100 is a version of the Junior correct? If so, they are suitable for intermittent filling of single tanks with air with factory filtration.

Ice Diving and Great Lake Undergarment ideas

Yes. They take forever to dry, but they are very warm. I recommend you get two pairs if you are boat diving multiple dives per day.
