Advice for diving with JDC this weekend

I'll add some additional thoughts: Yes, but it's not essential. The boats are docked right next to each other. It's literally just a matter of picking up your bag and moving it to the other boat. I think it's ~$12/fill for a steel 100. Plenty of time to refill your tanks between trips. I do it...

Saw a new dive charter today.

Aurelia is probably the nicest dive boat in PBC. Even with their full load there is plenty of space to spread out. PVDs boats are one of the main reason I like to dive with them.

Saw a new dive charter today.

How is it appropriate for a paying customer to have to tell a DM and captain how to run a deck safely? The answer to this whole situation is not to attempt to provide advice to a bad captain and crew, the answer is to take your business else where, let other divers know about unsafe operators...

Nautilus Life Line from a divers and Captains view

While the Nautilus Lifeline and PLBs are great tools, they’re no replacement for due diligence, good judgement, and a large SMB when diving in open water. An electronic device should be a backstop. It should, in no way, replace any of the above. On that note I can’t tell you how many people I...

Trying to identify a wreck name in Palm Beach

I've always wanted to try that!

Nautilus Life Line from a divers and Captains view

I carry one. Nice and compact. Fits easily in a pocket. I've never had to use it but it's valuable for piece of mind. For $150 it's a no-brainer if you do a lot of boat diving.

Trying to identify a wreck name in Palm Beach

It sounds like the Danny. The bridge rubble is the Royal park bridge which is also known as Atlantis.

Unoffical Scubaboard Goliath Grouper aggregation dives Aug 21-2 and Sept 25-6

The viz wasn't bad - maybe 40-50 on the wreck trek and MG111. Current was light North and the water temp was 84. Topside conditions were better than predicted. It was mostly a long-period 2-3 foot swell with a little wind chop on top. The GG's were around in decent numbers on the Zion (maybe...

Good tip Johnoly. I see what you’re talking about on the relief map. Looks nice and patchy. I might try that next time.

Unoffical Scubaboard Goliath Grouper aggregation dives Aug 21-2 and Sept 25-6

All the GG trips look booked for Saturday but Starfish has some space on the PM reef trip on Saturday. Narcosis out of Palm Beach also has space Saturday PM (I’ll be on that boat on Sat).

Trip Report Back in SE FL 2021 part 5

I live in Jupiter and I can easily make it down south to the Boynton boats for morning dives. It's an easy 35 minute drive down 95. For those visiting, I'd recommend staying in West Palm Beach. You'll be about equidistant from both Jupiter and Boynton inlets (and very close to Palm Beach inlet)...

Great report @scubadada. I'm diving with Starfish tomorrow PM. Any chance you're on that boat?

I'm on the morning 3-tanker with JDC on 9/26. Did anyone else make it on that boat (it's full)?

    A change in Boynton Beach

Lol! I don't know the history behind the Boynton dive boat fleet! I just knew it was a new boat in the marina.

    A change in Boynton Beach

I saw it there 3 weeks ago when I dove with Starfish. It's a 36 Newton. It's a nice looking boat.
