When to call a dive... a question of limits.

For more thoughts on the subject of calling the dive "without any questions" and perhaps "with ensuing q&a" I would urge everyone to find, watch, read the work of Gareth Richard Lock on team dynamics and (non-technical) human factors in diving. I paid for a brief course and it really opened my...

When to call a dive... a question of limits.

Yeah, I've been there. Not so extreme as your example, just "same site, big drift, low viz, hard surface, why repeat?" And I'm amazed that anyone would have urged you to suck it up. Really bad form.

When to call a dive... a question of limits.

This is a decade old but it might be useful to other instructors. I don't need any attribution - if it helps someone, that's enough. Copy and paste as you wish. I of course learned all this from others.

    Divers Song Parodies

So with that said, here is a first cut on a diving song riffed off Old Town Road (I assume you've heard it - sing along!) Yeah, I’m gonna grab my hose and I’ll get offboard I’m gonna dive ‘til I can’t no more I’m gonna grab my hose and I’ll get offboard I’m gonna dive ‘til I can’t no more I...

    Sorting Problem

I have just returned to SB after a few years of SI. I too find this problematic. I know this is an old query, apparently unanswered. Clicking the "last message" column heading while viewing a list of forum threads does not sort threads by last post date. Pete, anyone? Thanks!

Stellar Avatar, Fibonacci. When I was very young I explored that sequence and found that as it progresses, the ratio of one member to the prior approaches the golden mean. Go figure.

You are right, my friend. The fused-duo nature of their collaboration has led me astray. "Scrambled Eggs" it was until the gang worked on it, as I recall. (I lived in London in the 60s and was grateful for that chance to see genius in action)
