    Aqualung Legend service manuals

Hah, I was looking at some posts and DMs we exchanged to see if the 1st stage manual was uploaded, and came up empty. @Tanks A Lot archive did not have it either. I had just sent a message to @axxel57 asking if he has come across the Leg3end 1st stage manual and was going to wrap things up for...

What do you use to organize computers, electronics, flashlights?

We have a few Mares regulator bags like the picture below. These came with small pouch that is semi-padded...I can fit my Suunto SK8 compass and my Suunto Vyper Air computer in the pouch....when traveling to/from dive sites, the pouch sits nested in the center of my coiled regulator hoses...

    Rolock 90 scratched ring

Not knowing the exact type of plastic the rings are made from, I would not recommend using acetone as it may damage the rings. Instead, I would take a high grit sandpaper/emery cloth and gently buff those scratches out. Once smooth, remount a glove and retest in water. -Z

    Neck seal too tight?

I see from the picture in your first post that you have a Waterproof brand neck seal...they have that baffle in them that gives them a bit of a weird shape, I can see how this might be an issue with sandwiching the seal between the wood slats. If you decide to cut a ring off with it stretched...

    Neck seal too tight?

Stretching over a container like you suggest will work, but you have to be extremely careful since the material is stretched and the creation of a stress riser can cause it to split while you are cutting it. With my method, you lay the seal flat and sandwich it between two pieced of...

    Neck seal too tight?

The silicone neck and wrist seals come in 2 sizes, standard and small. Are you sure you neck seal is not the "small" size? My neck size is between 17.5 and 18 inches and I have not needed to cut my silicone neck seals down. If you do decide to cut yours, as @lexvil mentioned, one small mistake...

Question Scuba Gaskets order - duty payment required???

Forgive me if I missed it, but I don't recall reading a post in this thread where you ordered and/or were affected by any of this. Yet you seem to be arguing as if you have sustained some kind of financial injury by SG. It seems odd that you are making such bold assertions and such vehement...

Dive rite classic reel winding knob screw

Based on @lostsheep's picture above of the screws, it looks like the threading 1/4-20...the total length and the length of the unthreaded shoulder might have been custom but I would be totally surprised if they developed a custom thread entirely. If you use metal, you can get 1/4-20 stainless...

Dive rite classic reel winding knob screw

Your post is fine right here in the DIY forum as you are wanting to make a DIY repair of your reel. But, there is a gear forum for accessories such as reels: https://scubaboard.com/community/forums/lift-bags-smbs-reels.79/ and there is a forum specifically for Dive Rite...

Question Scuba Gaskets order - duty payment required???

Sender, in this case, is not defined as the originator of the gift as a concept, but from who the gift is physically shipped from....you can't send someone a gift via a merchant (e.g., purchase something as a gift and have the merchant ship it directly to the recipient...even if the gift...

One ring system to rule them all (small BARE cuff) - Rolock, PSI, Kubi?

I have half a dozen glove ring systems sitting on a shelf in my basement workshop. Well, actually I have 5, because the 6th is the Rolock 90 which is installed on my drysuit. There is a reason that it is a "popular recipe". Just sayin' -Z

Guide to Mares regulators from 2000-2020

I take it you "can't measure it" because your IP gauge maxes out at 15Bar, correct? 15Bar is already quite a bit high. How does your IP gauge respond when you use it to check your setup? When hitting the 2nd stage purge button, does the IP immediately lockup at the pressure you set it at? or...

User replaceable wrist system for dry suit

As a poster above mentioned, Kubi is a good system and it has a good following....the main advantage to the Si-Tech QCS oval ring system is its sheer versatility....Kubi will work with the Kubi glove rings...The Si-Tech rings will work with Si-Tech Antares glove rings, Si-Tech Virgo glove rings...

    Mares XR SF2 Loop...any thoughts?

Yes. I wound up add one to each side of my plate, and rigged my harness and dive rite weight pockets in such a way that they are very similar to the OMS Smartstream harness. I think I wrote a post about them with some crappy pictures a few years ago...I recall it was before we moved back from...

Guide to Mares regulators from 2000-2020

We need to know a couple more things to help help understand what is going on: 1. What is the intermediate pressure (IP) of the 1st stage in question? 2. Have you tried switching the 2nd stage that is problematic for another? If so, what was the result? If you haven't done this, could you, and...
