Titanic tourist sub goes missing sparking search

I Call me a cynic, but this is a very high profile incident and does involve the death of a U.S. citizen. A possible result of the investigation might simply to be to verify that US agencies had no control of the vessel and therefore icannot be blamed for lack of enforcement I suspect the...

    Solo boating AND solo diving?

Totally agreed with your procedure for checking the anchor and I do it even if the boat is manned. Just as a matter of interest how often do you check the shackle between the chain and the rope or so you use a chain splice ?

    Solo boating AND solo diving?

I have done limited solo diving off a manned boat, and buddy dived off an unmanned boat. I have never had the urge to combine both. To me it is just pushing my luck a little to far. Leaving a boat unattended while diving does not make me feel at all comfortable. I can see 3 problem areas. 1...

    GBR vs Indonesia

My partner has recently returned from Komodo and has dived on the Yongala a few years ago. When I asked the question Komodo or Yongala her answer was different dives. Komodo was awesome as a destination, but the Yongala was unique, and right up there. The Yongala is very weather dependant but...

@DandyDon link is from news.com.au I will leave it at that. From the video the dinghy looks to be similar to the 2:5 metres ones that Whitworths sell for people to go ashore on when anchored somewhere calm and sheltered. At one point in the video you can see the transom but no motor
