as opposed to watching your computer to monitor depth every 3m and counting 10 seconds -but now your introducing more conditions to support your argument (just like you introduced Oil rigs) when what were talking about is running OOA and switching to a pony on an NDL dive
well you pay your money and you take your chances - this one i bought on ali expresss its ridiculously cheap( US$30) but ive had it down below 120m and I had a second more expensive one that flooded- the main issue for me is if you doing a deep cave dive ( or no light areas) and your cheap...
ahh the wonders of the Antipodes, there are still pockets of anti authoritarian rebels who spurn the anxiety driven and fragile mindset of the litigious Americans.
There are people doing outrageously difficult cave dives in the Nullarbor and In NZ that dont have an instagram or facebook page...
yes there is some shore diving -i was refering to the dive operators available to organise that - i think it would be an uphill battle fro a non local to organise it themselves and Troy form tulagi dive is more focused on commercial operations last time i was there
going to the solomons for 10...
i glued a plastic dome on the top where its "ON" so i can feel with dry gloves and confirms which way is on - i also got a bit of plastic tubing on the switch that extends past the cap so i can feel it better when my hands get cold

this doesnt make any sense-
i guess they were used to some sort of App to do a BO plan for a vertical ascent and not taken into account the horizontal part as in a cave environment ?
Theres some further anomalies with the CDAA- eg if you want to go to the Nullarbor plains and dive Olwolgin cave you need 25 post Advanced cert dives before you can ( legitimately) go in.
