    Blackbird Caye 9/13 - 9/20/ 2025 Anyone else going?

The operator has to get Annex E completed from Belize’s “STANDARDS (BELIZE STANDARD: CODE OF PRACTICE FOR RECREATIONAL SCUBA DIVING SERVICES) (DECLARATION OF COMPULSORY STANDARD) ORDER, 2016”. So no AOW is not a legal requirement, but it helps.

Error Local diver critical - Cirkewwa harbor, Malta

There is more difference in recovering a body than a dead-weight twinset. A body is slightly negative, unless the lungs are full of water, twin steel 12s will have a negative mass of about 11kg when full.

Error Local diver critical - Cirkewwa harbor, Malta

Normally in Europe it’s twin steels, chances are [hear I’m speculating] no ditch-able weights, makes it extremely difficult to gain positive buoyancy. Mods, remove if I’m out of order.

Horrible Experience In Confined Water Training

Lifesaving skills do not often get mastered on the first attempt. You didn’t fail, you instructor failed to teach you properly. As for equipment, the pool kit is an indication what they would provide for open water lessons.

    Belize : The Shearwater Shootout

Sounds like a signal conflict with the two transmitters using the same channel.

Favorite Memories from the SB Invasion 2025 Belize

I take it you've not done a SB trip before. Whilst I agree the 'resort' was not as expected, it wasn't a total disaster. We got the 16 dives, the locations being dictated by the weather; with a hurricane just over the Central American mainland < 700ml away. I went to the UAE and Oman diving...

Favorite Memories from the SB Invasion 2025 Belize

Monday midday and I’m finally home - just got to weather the 7 hour jet lag. Forgetting the resort, I’ll remember the people I was with, that’s what makes the SB experience. Unlikely to make the ‘surge’, but looking to bring another diver next June. A big thank you to Dennis & Roxanne from...

    HP hose length for transmitter

Being a bit selfish, I can hire, likely not, a reg, but I’d have to buy another transmitter.

A DV = demand valve = regulator. Separated by a common language.

    DIN vs YOKE (USA)?

That’s just poor maintenance. Not all bubble stream are leaks; I have a stream of bubbles from an air port on my first stage - as is designed - been told I’ve get a leak numerous times.

Short research - Factors influencing divers' performance and experiences

I gave up once it became clear it wasn’t diver specific.

    Regulator Compatibility

As there on separate cylinders it doesn’t matter. I run a Sherwood on my main cylinder and ScubaPro on the pony. Also have an Aqualung 2nd stage on the main.

    ScubaBoard Invasion Central 2025 Belize

It doesn’t mater how experienced you are in travelling, you can still miss something simple. I’m in Florida for a weeks diving before joining the invasion, and yes I don’t pack the USB charging lead for my camera. The multi connection thingy I have doesn’t fit because the camera door is in the...
