How did I not see this thread? This video brings back all the great memories of the manta ray dive I did back in April. It was probably the best dive I had done! The video is awesome!

I was on route to Monterey this morning when I got a call and text(with video) that said waves were breaking into the stairs at breakwater. I turned around and came back home.

I am jonesing for a new x-scooter. I saw the video from backscatter where they strapped a camera to one. I'd like doubles too, but then I have to get a new wing etc. It never ends.
I love my otter bay hood, except the huge logo stamped on the side. It took a little work with some sandpaper to finally get it off.
I would pay extra for a non-logo hood from cricket.
I added an extra 4 but it still seemed like I was getting pushed around a bit. If I get to have that experience again I'd throw on at least 5-6lbs.-- not too much to be so overweight so that I couldnt swim up my rig, but enough to keep me in one spot.
so I've gone the other way. I have a drysuit, and recently bought a semi-dry for more temperate waters. I for one like getting a little wet in the water and buoyancy in a wetsuit or semi dry is a lot easier than in a drysuit.

yeah, you have to be careful diving with us camera guys. :D we often make for bad buddies for the reasons you listed above, but I am surprised he didnt give you a heads up regarding his dive plan vs. what you were expecting.
