Does anyone know where this is located?

It is a little unique, for somebody who just discovered Photoshop. Usually, it's beards on women and breasts on men and so forth.

    dry suit storage

The manual that came with mine says roll it up loosely from the feet and store it somewhere free of potentially harmful gases, i.e. probably not in the garage and definitely not in the same room as the furnace, if you have one. (Presumably you do, if you own a drysuit. ;) )

    Transpac adjustment problems

The throwing forward thing is actually good, unless your fins are floating above your head. It means you're becoming horizontal, which is the way to be. When you relax, do you get horizontal? I have dived both; a Transpac and now a steel BP and I can't say that I noticed much difference in...

    Diver wannabe can't swim

Not really - he'll have to pass a swim/tread test before anybody real will give him a card. I've had one or two very heavily muscled people have trouble with this because of their dense body mass, but as a rule they're in such good condition that they find a way to just sort of hack their way...

Any place not recommended by Cousteau?

Whole thread reminds me a bit of an interview with the Dali Lama I once watched - one of the reporters asked him, "what's the fastest possible way to achieve enlightenment?"

    New Materials ?

Yes, there were lots of gimmicks for a time involving lining things with tinfoil and so forth - is that what you're referring to? Most have gone away by now simply because people have realized that none of them were the faintest bit effective, I suppose. "Neutrally bouyant insulation" is an...

    Recommended 1st live-aboard for ..........

My own vote , hands down, would be the Bay Islands. Mostly quite shallow as well as usually very calm, and awesome macro life and night diving. I was in Belize and wouldn't actually consider it a great site for beginners. I dove from the Wind Dancer, which I loved, but I believe it now...

    The "S" Word

I totally agree with the general tone of the responses so far. We forgot one of the original definitions of the word: to stimulate, as in 'stroking' the ego of some tinydick wannabe.

    Computer virus: worm_msblast dam

What virus software are you using? The Macafee site lists something called "worm_msblat.d", but it's pretty old and listed as "low-profile". Have you been updating stuff regularly? I'm never quite exactly sure what they mean by "quarantined"; I think I'd want it gone altogether. Sometimes...

    Belize - advice welcome

Don't know about accomodations; I stayed with a friend. When you do the hole, definitely visit the park at Half-Moon Key on the way home. Bloody awesome. Be prepared for some fairly deep (for rec) walls. If you want nitrox, definitely take your own analyzer.

    Newbie blames all of you

Nor is a Pioneer an Eclipse. Darn good thing, too. :07: When you said, 'Only some of the old ones need an STA' I misread and thought you meant Halcyon wings in general. My mistake.

    Newbie blames all of you

Not always so much - my Eclipse doesn't have the requisite slots for the strap so I had to add an STA. Did they change this? (I don't see how they could, given the design with the inside zipper.) In any case, I like the STA arrangement better anyway, in a single-tank setup. The tank doesn't...

    Newbie blames all of you

Easier than with the dumbass clips, imo. Put you hands through the straps at the side, shove them through keeping your elbows tight to your ribs ands you're out. (Don't fergit to undo the waist buckle. :07: )

Type of entry in dry suit

My only experience w/ self-donning is DUI and I woud agree it's very easy, once you learn the moves. Took me two years to figure out that I need to put my hood on before I do up the zipper, however. Until that occurred to me I always needed help with it. Probably an individual fit issue...
