Definitely agree with the lack of tank maintenance. I carry O-rings for the tank valve because most of the dive ops don't and don't check before loading the boat.

Yes, it's definitely the timing in the Philippines that can cause problems...the roads can be narrow and windy but also clogged with traffic. It's something that I've not encountered in other countries....you get either traffic or windy/narrow but not both. Just need to allow time.

Did the operator you dove with not have oxygen? I'm assuming your wife's symptoms developed sometime after the dive, but could you have contacted them?
