    Emergency Evacuation Bag for LOBs

You've got a lot of stuff there. Probably everything someone needs to survive floating around in the ocean. I think, though, that you might have trouble getting that out with you considering how quickly some of the most recent sinkings have happened Maybe pare it down to documents, essential...

Why you want to interview instructors

That's really the key question here. How does one go about "losing" a bottle of deco gas, in an open water dive. I suppose there are scenarios I haven't thought of but they seem remote.

How long before it's all really dialed in?

Don't know exactly but we were on our second trip to the Philippines, somewhere around 200 dives and someone commented that my wife and I looked "so comfortable in the water"....so that was probably it.

Unknown Missing diver in Indonesia, with body remains subsequently found in shark.

I don't think the authorities have even established that the remains are those of the missing diver.

Question about Cabo Pulmo + Gordo Banks

The last time we were there, which was 18 months ago, there was no lottery system as far as I could tell. Sites still had weekly limits for boats and divers, but the popular sites required getting there early. No problem getting to see the jacks or the better coral sites, but the wreck...

Question about Cabo Pulmo + Gordo Banks

Cabo Pulmo sites are given out on a first come, first serve basis so no booking in advance. You get one good site and one other depending on what's left when you show up. The only reason to get there early is to book the wreck site......the bulls can show up any time of the day and they can be...

Cabo Pulmo in late June 2024?

We've been to Cabo Pulmo in March and November. Water is warmer in November and the jacks are there. Bull sharks are hit and miss anytime of year. Area is a lot busier in November and wind can mean cancelled dives. I'd give June a try, the local reef fish, which are quite large because...

What's your experience with DeWalt battery warranty?

I've used lots of Dewalt batteries over the years on Dewalt tools. When they won't hold a charge anymore I get new ones. I've never had a problem, but then I only use them for what they were intended for. Same for Makita and Milwaukee. If you guys are the cause of something that in ends up...

    Back issues or bends?

I have back issues too and it doesn't take much to bring on spasms, muscle pain and/or stiffness. The boat ride may have caused the problems in your case but the back didn't stiffen up noticeably until you stopped for lunch. That type of scenario happens to me.

Question Why does my Oceanic Shadow fart?

Not sure. Unless I'm missing something the only way for air to get into your mask is by your nose or your exhaust bubbles. So if you're holding your breath and it's still happening I can't think of an answer.

Question Why does my Oceanic Shadow fart?

Sounds like you're breathing out through your nose. For some reason this mask is shaped in a way that causes that air to be retained rather than exit below your nostrils. The air has to eventually go somewhere so when enough pressure builds up it breaks the seal with a noticeable sound.

If I do not know the intermediate pressure supplied by the 1-st stage, which 2-nd stage to buy?

Cheap is fine, as long as you know why it's cheap and that the reason or reasons won't come back to bite you. That's where knowledge and tools like an IP gauge come in. If you prefer ignorance buy gear that others have proven works as it should.
