    DataTrans Plus / Or Cobra

I don't like to slam equipment but I would not dive a cochran computer for anything. Maybe they have fixed them but I have had too many friends with cochrane commanders and Commander Nitrox units that failed ( some during Deco !!!!) Cochrane further impressed us by threatening to sue my...

The Dive Shop of the Future

Considering how much '' fun" running a dive shop is, I am pretty sure my LDS would consider selling it to you for a six pack. Owning and running any small business is a lot of work and has stresses way beyond any job where you just go cash your check and go home at night. Yes, dive shops...

    Is Dacor junk??

Dacor has has some great stuff over the years and some real dogs. The whole modular reg line comes to mind( quantum/ extreme = junk) - That and the frequent diver travel program they renigged on is what helped kill Dacor. All of this discussion is now esoteric since Dacor is now just...

    Air Source Complete

    Fitting my Zeagle Ranger?

Great questions, which your local shop could have answered. I imagine you had your reasons for going online but nothing can replace a proper fitting in person.

    DIR - Pro's & Con's

Try DIS Doing it Safe. Use your head and take ideas form everywhere then try them to see if you like them and if they work where you dive. Training and logging lots of dives are much more valuable items, than any piece of equipment or how it is rigged. The only con I can think of is...

    Floating feet

The last post was right on the money and I'll just add a few things to check/ change which might help: - Is the tank mounted correctly? if you lower it a bit you will change your trim slightly - Many different types of trim weights can be used including BC mounted trim weights. - Tank...

    kEVLAR DRY SUIT

Abyss Tech Spec - Immersed Magazine Spring 99 Perhaps you’ve heard the line “If you build a better mousetrap, then the world will beat a path to your door”? What if it’s not a mouse trap your trying to build, but an exposure suit for people who daily compress it at great depths, scrape it...

    Lovin' the Hyperstretch

Glad to see a gutsy wetsuit diver! The hyper stretch works well just keep in mind that the outer layer is less abrasion resistant than standard wetsuits ( lots of lycra less nylon) so watch out for sharp stuff. :) Enjoy your suit....don't you love having a new piece of gear :D

    air Integration

What type of valve do you use?

I Love my DIN stuff and wish everthing was this way. Word of warning if you are thinking of switching to DIN or if you already use it. Most people always carry spare tank o-rings but I know of more than a few people ( myself included) who forget to carry spare DIN regulator orings. I...

    Zeagle VI Flathead

Here are the differences in design that I know of: 1. Zeagle has a slightly larger heat exchanger in the second stage and the second stage appears a little smaller. 2. The HP design of the Zeagle is from an engineering point a view possibly longer lasting. ( time will tell) The reason is...
